Explain like I’m 5:
I don’t quite comprehend episode 4 when it comes to the messaging Stuart receives before waking up. Since they’re in a Matrix-like simulation, could it be that he’s just seeing those “wake up” messages for that reason?

Sidenote: I think around the 12:45 minute mark in E3 (right after he gives his innocent blood to Bernadette, while he’s walking with Kripke and summoning demon Alexa) there’s another one of these external messages on newspaper that says “HEY, STUART BLOOM”.

As the title suggests, I need help understanding the universes of each episode. Let’s use this as our guide moving forward so everyone can understand what is happening.

Upon my rewatch I noticed that in episode one when they tried to get into Caltech and that buff guy, tried to storm it and was shot immediately...we saw blood splatters on the camera...

Does that count as a 4th wall break?...

My guess is that it is the first hint (especially with the name of the last episode) that they are watched and none of this is real....

My theory is that they didn't invent a dimension traveling machine but a simulation...and we are watching the simulation that has been programmed to " what happens if we invented a machine like that" as a prompt...or smith like that :p

I'll be honest, I had no idea this was a TBBT spin-off at first. I probably wouldn't have watched it if I knew. I started watching SFTSTU because I like Lauren Lapkus and Brian Posehn. I'm really enjoying it! Maybe I'm the only one, but I hope they phase out TBBT cameos and easter eggs less as time goes on. The concept and style is good enough on its own.

Im a bit furious. Sorry, you can downvote me if you don’t like it but this really gets on my nerves.

There’s no continuity. There’s absolutely no reason to assume Bernadette knows Howard, Penny knows Leonard or Raj knows any of them in any random dimension. Every single jump resets everything. Different universes, different rules, different dynamics. The creators have made this clear multiple times!

I’ll be honest, I didn’t have any intentions to watch it, but last night I couldn’t sleep so I said “what the hell, let’s check it out”. WOW. I honestly thought good shows were a dying breed in this landscape, but everything from the “do NOT skip” on the title sequence to the humor, suspense, and ongoing gags have kept me locked in and hungry for more. I really hope we get more seasons of this show because it’s just so REFRESHING. i can’t get enough of it. that’s all :)

I just watched the available episodes and I am really loving it. I especially love that the cast members from TBBT, who made bank, have showed up in each episode so far.

I think it’s a fantastic vehicle for the actors and writers to explore different genres and possibilities. And I’m glad there is a 2nd season coming

When the gang goes into a new universe, what happens to their counterparts in that universe? Are they also there, or do they sort of take their place in that universe?

sidenote: anyone else still stuck on the universe where AI forces people to be pleasant? I kinda wonder if they’ll circle back on that one (but selfishly bc it’s been my favorite universe thus far)

No se, preferiría que fuera una aventura con un inicio y un final, en vez de prolongar el mismo concepto de distintos universos por 10 y muchos capítulos más, no sé, ustedes díganme si me equivoco o no.

Imagine if Stuart falls into the original Big Bang Theory set. He finds the original crew eating takeout in their lounge.

Everything is normal, but Stuart is stuck in a closed looped set and is able to hear the constant laugh track.

He has an existential crisis and a breakthrough and realises his sad and lonely moments were used for comedic effects to simply entertain the audience.

I'm tapping out halfway through episode 4.

This is just terrible... The story isn't good. Nothing about it is funny. And it seems like every actor is trying to cover up a terrible performance with a really obnoxious voice...

I consider myself a big fan of sci-fi comedy but this isn't for me.
