independent.co.ukEthical Shark Diving
Hi everyone! I’ve been really interested in marine biology as a hobby for years, and lemon sharks have been my favorite shark species ever since I was about 8 years old. Diving with them has honestly been a dream of mine for a long time.
I wanted to ask if anyone here knows the most ethical places or operators to dive with lemon sharks? I really want to avoid anything exploitative, stressful to the animals, or overly touristy, and would rather support places that genuinely respect shark behavior and conservation.
I’d especially appreciate recommendations from people who’ve had firsthand experiences. Thank you!

Grey sharks at a cleaning station in Rasdhoo, Maldives

Fun fact: the grey reef sharks of the Maldives have a white dorsal fin tip, something which the Pacific population lacks. The black caudal tail band still gives it away.
Shark Cage diving, where?
Hi everyone!
As a lot of people, my dream is to see a Great White Shark in reality.
I live in Italy, I tried twice in Australia but had zero luck. Could you give me some advice on where to try next time, please?
Before thanking you all, I want to underline that I know how shark cage diving is not 100% ethical and it may endanger even more the involved shark species by affecting their beaviour. This make me feel a little bit sad and egoistic about my childhood dream.

Mako attacking Sea Turtle in Turkey

Do better, Smithsonian
My 8-year old noted that these books both use the same (likely AI-generated) image for both great white and megalodon. There are numerous differences, he believes, between the two, including a blunter snout. Any experts out there want to weigh on whether this is a legit double dip?
Shark Photo I took freediving a few miles off the coast of O'ahu
From an album of 200 pictures during this dive, this one is my absolute favorite. The way the shark is dead center in the frame, fins equidistant from the borders, and the pure symmetry of this apex predator just gets me stoked. Hope you enjoy!

Why is it important in shark attack science that we label some attacks as ‘provoked’ or ‘unprovoked’?
reddit.comWith the exceptions of makos most deadly sharks just eat slow ass shit like pets, turtles, and people.
There’s not a lot of videos of bulls tigers and whites catching fish! I think they concentrate more on the awkward dumb ass animals, that don’t belong in the ocean. Especially tiger sharks dumb lazy asses
