My husband, 10 yr old daughter and Mother in law are heading to Sheboygan this Friday, staying through Monday. We love nature ( but I’ve heard Kohler Andre is a shitshow on the weekends so we’re skipping that), water good food( my kid loves ramen), beer and cool shops. I’d love recommendations for family/ cool things to do in the area that could entertain us Saturday & Sunday ( weather looks great)!
Not huge museum people.
Can you really surf in Sheboygan? I’d love input on that too.
Thank you!
Hi everyone! My family is camping at Kohler Andrae state park for the first time at the end of August. I started seeing a lot recently about how over crowded it is, lines for trails, no parking, etc. and wondering if that’s the case for the campground and getting around the campground? And how true it is in general?
I’ve been reading through reviews and posts here but figured I’d ask here for feedback. We love state/national park camping and have camped all over in busy parks, I just like to be mentally prepared hahah
Thanks everyone!
Does anyone know a few different places you can see the fireworks away from the crowds? We have a couple people/kids with special needs in our group who loves the fireworks but can't handle the crowds. We used to have a friend who lived on far east end of Penn ave, so that worked great, but the last few years since they moved have been rough.
One year, we ended up having to leave before they even started; another year we almost missed them again, but on our way to drop off half of our group, noticed the display was partly visible from the old Kmart parking lot on the south side. That was a cool realization but as we could really only see the top 1/3 of the display and, well... it's an old parking lot, I'm hoping to try a different spot this year. 😅😆
Has anyone had luck viewing from one of the lakeside parks? Maybe the overlook a few blocks north of Vollrath, or somewhere between Kings park and Shooters? 🤷♀️
Not sure if this is allowed, but we are having a brat fry today at the Thirsty Seagull in Sheboygan. (The old Armory Bar / Fourth Street Tap) 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙🫡
Happy 4th y’all!
I ended up purchasing some fireworks and plan on lighting them off for a 4th of July party.
I have now found out that fireworks are not allowed within the city limits. Has anyone lit any off in the past and had any run in with the law ? Do the police actually enforce this on the 4th of July ?
My husband and I are traveling to Sheboygan this week and although I have a decent list of things to do, I'd love to hear about other things that might not be well advertised or just something fun that you'd like to share.
We're staying near the Northside Municipal Beach

Does anyone know if there are rules around bright exterior lights? I have two neighbors that have always on, bright as the sun exterior lights and it is miserable…
Even with curtains it looks like the sun is out at night…
Looking for a good shop for skin fades. It’s a tough cut to do well and I’m looking for recommendations.
Thanks!
I work at the job center building and we were not made aware of the construction right in front of our building. I can’t find anything about this or how long it will go on for. Does anyone know? We can only get in and out on Wilgus and today it’s been difficult with the fresh oil and steamroller.
Not 100 percent sure they're scammers, but pretty damn sure.

Had this Indian looking and sounding guy in his 40's or 50's drive up to me as I left the north side Walmart. He asked what city we were in while his Google Maps was pulled up (not the brightest scammer). Proceeded to attempt to give me his fake gold ring and ask for gas money to get home (said they were from Miami Florida). I just kept telling him to go to nearby gas stations and ask for help/money there. His wife and kid (I assume they were his) were also in the car and looked considerably worse than he did.

I already reported them to the local police station but I didn't get their license plate or exact model of their car.

TLDR: Keep an eye out for scammers in the area, they might move to another city/area soon, it seemed like they were heading north with how their Google Maps looked like.
