BAT win
On 7/2 I won the auction for a Backdraft Shelby Cobra. Will get it home in a couple weeks. Let me know your thoughts on the car.

25th SAAC
Had this since the 25th anniversary. What do you think the best place to sell it is?
Came across some old pictures of my late father's 65 cobra, thought this sub might appreciate. Lucky to have learned to drive stick in this beast!
Pretty much grew up with my dad building this car in his spare time from a Fox Body Mustang. Lots of great memories of going to the London, OH cobra show, cruising around town on summer evenings, and being taught how to drive stick in a high school parking lot in this beauty. My dad had sold it when my parents divorced and he had become sick and passed soon after. It's been over a decade now, last I heard the new owners had sold it to the next. Not sure where she's at now, but my memories live on! Hope you all can enjoy these pics I found.
Double roll bar(s) or no?
What are the thoughts on whether or not to go double roll bar? I have a single on my FF and I love the look. 40 YO me thinks about it every time I put my wife in the passenger seat, though.
Dax Tojeiro AC Cobra replica — Chevy 383 stroker V8
Spotted this AC Cobra replica recently and the owner had a very detailed spec board with it, which made it more interesting than just another Cobra-shaped car.
According to the board, it is a Dax Tojeiro completed in 2013, finished in Magneto pearlescent blue with ceramic white Le Mans stripes. The engine is a Chevy 383ci / 6.3-litre V8 stroker crate engine from British American Engines, dyno tested at around 485 bhp and 450 lb-ft of torque.
A few other details from the build: Edelbrock alloy heads and manifold, Edelbrock 750 cfm carburettor, Getrag 5-speed manual gearbox, limited-slip differential, stainless side pipes, 18-inch Hallibrand-style alloys, and electric power-assisted steering.
Obviously not an original AC Cobra, but I think that is part of what makes these builds interesting. It is more of a personal interpretation of the Cobra idea — classic shape, modern/modified running gear, and someone’s own decisions all over it.
Not subtle, but probably not meant to be.
Swiss Cobra meet 2026
Posted the picture of the 289 FIA yesterday, this is the same event where all the cobra’s are together, lots of different replicas from pilgrims to factory five’s and also some continuation cars. Not common to see all those cobras in one place
is it real?
the usual question, is it real? this cobra was spotted at the official cobra meeting in switzerland. The owner claims it’s the original cobra that raced in the Targa Florio in 1964 and that was recently restored, with the color being slightly changed. it looks like an original, but I still don’t know.
What should I do
Honestly understand what my best option is currently at this moment but I have this Mystic I can get my hands on for only $1200. The mileage is at 60,000. I’m wondering what’s a good out the door price to be looking for to sell.
