Ironically, sitting and waiting for a man IS wanting to be picked. While the woman approaching is doing the picking.
her advice is full of internalised misogyny. No wonder she advocates for going for old and ugly men. Because those are the men approaching her anyway.
Why I say advice/content like this is full of internalised misogyny/ patriarchal because historically women never had the chance to choose their own partners, historically men would “pick” them or their families for pick for them.
Now when women can choose who they find attractive and can approach a man, women like this call them “pick me” as if sitting and waiting and praying for a man to approach you isn’t the LITERAL definition of a “pick me”/ wanting to be picked.
Ironically, approaching a man is the woman having the agency and doing the picking. Pf course the man can accept or reject your approach but that is them having free will, same goes for men. The important part is that women should have the agency to like a man, go after them not just sitting and waiting around like dolls.
