401k/Pension question

If you leave SW and are fully vested and want to withdraw your 401k and pension, what does that process and timetable look like?

I know the tax implications. Not asking for advice on what you should or should not do. Thanks in advance for your concern tho! Haha.

Just asking the question for an employee who doesn’t have/want Reddit. Thanks fam

Is this for real..?

I am coming up on 2 years with SW and… I am feeling very disenchanted, physically and mentally exhausted, and extremely undervalued and overwhelmed… I feel like by now I have gained a lot of knowledge and skills that should be taken into consideration when dolling out paycheques..! Also, I am at a small in size but extremely busy commercial store, and deal with huge accounts and amounts of money… we only have 4 in store employees and a driver… 7 days/wk and extended hours… looking at my pay which is not even a dollar over minimum wage is soul crushing… Anyone else..?

What’s the biggest thing you dislike about Sherwin?

I’ve been working full time with Sherwin for a bit, interested to see what you guys think of the job. I know a lot of people really hate the job, honestly I can see why, it’s boring, but interested to see what jobs you would rather do, and what’s the biggest thing you dislike about it? For me it’s cycle counts and that ancient house phone going off. I’m trying to figure out if I’m alone with disliking it.

small store vs commercial store

hi everyone

im new to SW and im tired. im exhausted. i work at a commercial store and its so much all the time that they havent even had time to train me. not to mention its filthy, and so huge that it takes days to clean only to get muddied up again the next time it rains. i know anything for a paycheck but... is it worth considering applying to a smaller store? i like this store and the people here but im worried im not doing a good job because its literally too busy for them to train me and im useless at actually helping customers because of that. i'm starting to get the hang of the system but its been a lot of trial and error and futzing around lol

is it just as busy at a smaller store? do you have to carry 5 gallon pails at smaller stores?

Store closure

I've only been working for the company for a year and a half, but I live in a small town and our Sherwin William's is shutting it's doors. I just found out today. This is the first time I've lost a job like this, and I was wondering if anyone else had any experience with dealing with something like this, I mean like a store closure. Any help is appreciated..

Removing price labels from the product info area is bullshit and makes our experience at the register as employees more stressful and negative.

Typical Sherwin move.

92 hours a Week is minimum. Do they care about you?

Policy 2 fulltime employees.

SM 48 hours
ASM 44 hours

Total 96 hours of week to staff a store.

I what way (given a week for some accident etc) does this show that Sherwin thinks nothing more of store employees than means to an end?

They do not care about you.

They want all stores with 2 full time employees.

PROFIT!

Compensation help.

Just wanting to get a gauge from the group. If a job offer says 16.50 minimum and they ask what I want what would be a good number to ask for? It’s in the store. I was thinking of asking for 18 but tbh I’ll be happy with anything becayse either way it’s a pay raise

What are your greatest challenges of multitasking at Sherwin-Williams?

What ties you into a Gordian knot?

"The Gordian Knot is a legendary ancient Greek myth that serves as a powerful metaphor for an extremely complex, intricate problem that seems absolutely impossible to untangle by conventional means."

Are any other peoples accounts/customers complaining that they aren’t receiving their invoices before it’s due?

They won’t receive their statement until after the due date ? This is month #3 for multiple accounts that aren’t receiving their statements in a timely manner. They all have addresses listed and are asking for physical copies mailed monthly.

Rant: Minwax stains suck

I’m sure someone already have said this before but these stains suck straight Anus. Colors somehow are always off. You apply it to wood and it doesn’t change the color at all. Making it thicker doesn’t help for shit. Straight cheeks. Better off telling people to go with prepackaged colors
