I was gifted a Shinola Vinton that is too small for me (need about 3-4 more links). I went to a jeweler who use to carry Shinola and they didn’t have anything. They called Shinola and said it would be about 3 months, which seems crazy to me. Ive looked online and couldn’t find anything. Does anyone have any advice on how to acquire links? I could drive to the nearest dealer which is about 2 hours away.
Found this in a park near my house.
Google says model number is Runwell Sport Black Blizzard 48mm.
Anyone know if this is true or not?

Not that swapping out straps on this one is difficult — but it’s a mark of the seasons when the nylon band comes out for the summer. Stay cool out there!

I narrowly missed out on the 2nd batch release of the Shinola Duck (black dial, pink hands, blue strap) and they sold out before I could get my hands on one.
Has anyone seen them for sale on the secondary market used?
Trying to secure one, and just confirmed from Shinola that they will not be doing a 3rd release unfortunately.

Happy Sunday Everyone, this is the watch that started it all for me. This was my first Shinola!
I bought a Collegiate on eBay for about $200. They sent the wrong watch. I suggested they send the right watch and a return label. I received the replacement and no return label. I messaged them asking how they wanted to get a return label to me; no response. I messaged again after a few days; they said I could keep the first watch due to an issue with the return address (each shipping box has a different return address). At this point all my alarm bells go off and I ask if I should check authenticity at a Shinola storefront or if they would like to issue a refund; they issued the refund, no further comment on returns.
I am less than 10 miles from Shinola HQ, so they may view my location as too much of a risk that I am with Shinola’s anti-counterfeiting team, but it’s possible they will refund but not take returns from anyone due to those concerns. They presumably make enough from these that eating their cost on two watches (and materials) and shipping twice is an acceptable cost of doing business.
These have boxes with burned lettering (one hinge came broken tho), box slipcover with embossing, paperwork envelope with embossing, a booklet with embossing, and the Shinola logo tooled on the inner watchband. The advice in here about the crystal still seems true tho; it looks flat to me.
I always forget how much I like this watch until I put it on.
Was interested in owning a Shinola for more than ten years. Finally found the one that I feel was meant for me.

Went through the process of getting some watches ready for summer this weekend — this primarily involves swapping out some leather for bracelets or nylon straps. The Bronze Monster is officially ready for hot weather!
What do you all like to wear in the summer? I don't have any rubber straps for my watches, as they don't really fit the vibe most of the time. But I might need to fix that this year.
