WTS: Mechanic full set

I bought this beautiful watch on vacation and wore it around the cruise ship a bit, but when I got home with it I decided that it just doesn't have a place in my little collection.

A year in…

I significantly slowed down one acquisitions a few weeks ago, but started a year ago and loving every minute.

Next to add down the road:
Cartier Santos XL
Rolex Explorer 2 White
Zenith El Primero

What else should I consider?

Yes, I have several Shinolas, but several were gifted to me when I worked in Detroit for an agency.

Would love any feedback and thoughts.

Real? Or…

Wanted to see if y’all might help me determine if this Runwell is a fake or not. I’ve been going to school on a lot of your posts, how to spot the obvious fakes, etc… and I think this is legit. Obviously, the only way to know for sure is to have it checked out by Shinola, but… 🙄

The two things that give me pause are:

I’ve not been able to find that serial number (I have a conversation with my buddy Claude who does the research for me) and

The back reads “U.S.A. Movement with Swiss Parts” and while I’ve seen some with that written, newer ones all say “Swiss and Imported Parts” instead.

In the plus category, the shape of the lugs seem to match what I’ve seen in store, the markings and engraving all line up to something authentic. I’ve tried contacting the seller about it but so far, no word back. It’s on Poshmark, so it’s not an eBay find, and while I feel a little better about buying it there (there are protections against fakes), if there’s something obvious I’d rather know about it now.

LOVE this color scheme, so I’m really hoping it’s legit.

Buying Used Shinola Watch

Hey all. I am looking into buying a Shinola Runwell 1069. I see some used being sold on Ebay and Mercari. I am a little suspicious of the price. They are going for $200-$350. What are the chances that these are fake? I have seen some posts going around about faking this type of watch.

Changing batteries?

Looking for information or suggestions. My daughter has a Shinola watch she likes but for 2nd time in a few years we need a new battery. We were told at the Shinola store we needed to get it changed at a Shinola store or it would void warranty. But we haven’t been able to find a store to actually do it.

The Ann Arbor store was a complete waste of time. We are traveling in Boston and called the store here they said come in 5-10 minutes. An hour drive into the city to be told on person it has to be sent away to Tribeca to and it is 3-5 weeks to get it back.

We’ve been into stores in downtown Detroit and basically regret ever giving the business to the brand because the customer support is so bad. We are local to SE Michigan and I like keeping business local but this feels ridiculous.

Any suggestions of stores that could help or how to reach out to the company with feedback? Last time we found an independent jeweler that was Shinola certified to do it.

Runwell for sale

Wife purchased me the J Dilla GA Series S01 as a present after I told her I needed a Shinola to round out the collection. I purchased this same day, not thinking she would get me one. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Never worn, tags and plastic still on, original box and papers. I paid USD $700.00. (Didn’t post the serial # on purpose, DM if interested.)

ETA: Traveler, not Runwell.
