I couldn’t help it notice how the dial changes with how the light hits it

Just won a Shinola Runwell Date on auction and wanted to see if anyone here could help verify authenticity. I know there are a lot of convincing fakes out there now, especially on resale sites (I bought insurance so I can return it).

I’m gonna pick up the watch sometime over next couple of days, but these are the seller photos. Anything immediately stand out as fake or genuine to you guys?

Would appreciate any help from people familiar with Shinola watches.

I've always admired Shinola's clean designs, and just added this beauty to my collection.

Timex (the weekender especially) and Hamilton Khaki are close to the same clean simplicity I like in a watch.

Does anybody have any other suggestions for a watch that has a similar appearance?

Wanted to get a watch for my son’s graduation. Was hoping to find a used one on EBay and found a “deal” for a $250 Runwell “new in the box with papers.” When item arrived it looked good but I had nothing to compare it to. After poking around online and reading about ways to identify a fake versus a real Shinola, I got nervous. The back wasn’t seemingly completely flush. The crown wasn’t entirely smooth. Yet I was able to register it through Shinola’s official site. I took it to a Shinola store and the guy was immediately able to identify it as fake on sight by the details of the strap alone. Even I could tell the difference when holding a real one and comparing them. Seller on eBay is elimahgee_0/Elijah Mahgeelongino. They had a 100% positive rating before me. I should have known better. If something is too good to be true it probably is.
