Is Wise Heart Whippets an ethical breeder?

I just called Wise Heart Whippets, and they seem like completely ethical breeders. They do health testing, including heart testing, talked to me about the Whippets they own, and explained temperament differences between individual dogs. Overall, they seem to meet the standards of responsible and ethical breeding.
That said, I’d like to hear from people who have actually gotten a dog from them. Have you had a good experience, and do you feel they are truly ethical breeders in practice?
If they are as good as they seem, this is probably where I plan to get a Whippet if I decide not to rescue one instead.

What was your first experience getting a puppy and what would you have done differently now?

I’m planning to get a puppy this or next year, so I’m curious what experience it was for others and what they would have done differently now

My poor pod

This is my lovely little pod - 15 years old - went to have his teeth looked at and came home early as blood tests came back with stage 4 kidney disease and high blood pressure
Heartbroken but he is ok, happy and eating well but future isn’t as bright as it should be

Does anyone know any reputable silken windhound breeders in Europe?

I've been thinking about adopting a silken windhound puppy, but from my research, kennels in Europe are pretty scarce. Does anyone know any reputable ones, preferably in Central Europe (Slovakia, Czechia, Austria, Hungary, and Poland)?

What I did on my week off - draw sighthounds and I loved it!

Turning this into wallpaper. I am a dog owner and lover but don't have a sighthound currently. Creating these guys sure has made me want one though! It was great fun learning about all their chracteristics and history. Hope you like it.

Half sighthound (Podenco), half Mastin

As a pup you could really see the Podenco in him. Today not so much anymore. The Mastin is really taking over at 8 years old.

It is quite the character. Being a 50-50 mix between an independent and intelligent sighthound ánd an independent and intelligent cattle guard. Being over 100 lbs. He can easily take over my household if I don't stay on top of it. What a dog! I love him to bits, even if I have to negotiate every turn I try to take every walk every day.

Just the correct size to stretch his snoot.

"Is it true that Borzois were once used to hunt wolves?"

"Indeed they were. But that belongs to another age. These days, they devote themselves almost exclusively to the pursuit of sofas. Mine has yet to meet one he couldn't capture at the first attempt."

Why? Why do long hounds do this?

My hounds, whether deerhound or greyhound, have all shared this penchant for using beds oddly.

My 4 month old Mudhol Hound, Whiskey.

Looking so innocent after shredding a toilet roll to bits.

Adding a third?

We have a 9 year old male whippet and a 10 year old female greyhound. They are both lazy but well socialized, exercised, and in good health. They are a great match for our lives, schedules, home, and each other.

We’ve been contacted by a rescue organization I had fostered for years ago, and they have a whippet (or whippet mix) who is in long term fostering and in need of a permanent home. Our home situation is a good fit for her needs and I’m comfortable with how to address her nervousness and separation anxiety. My big questions are around the move from two dogs to three.

How much more complicated will it be to walk them when I have more dogs than hands? Getting three dogs in and out of the car? Picking up poop for 3 dogs (and whippets poop so much!), three dogs to coax outside when it’s raining, and coax back inside when it’s sunny and I need to leave for work.

For those of you who added a third adult sighthound, how big of an adjustment was it? What are the other things I need to consider?
