r/simdrifting

Was super frustrated trying to learn to drift until it finally clicked with me.

I just got my fanatec wheel 2 weeks ago and I've been on and off trying to learn how to drift. My load cell pedal shipment was delayed so I don't have a clutch yet. I just press a button on the wheel when i have to clutch, and mapped the handbrake and clutch together so it clutches in when i Handbrake. Luckily the car im using can just stay in 2nd gear the whole way.

Could i get some tips on how to keep improving? For one my hand sometimes gets Lost being over each other and stuff how can I improve more? I'm so excited to finally be able to do this I really couldn't drift at all with my G25 no matter how hard i tried.

New style

Tried filming with another cam ankle, maybe it’s less chaotic like that ? What do you think guys ? And I love how you can see the headtracking working in this!!

Roughy 3 weeks of off and on practice on sim drifting. Any tips on improving?

Just got back into drifting and somewhat got the basics. This is what I know I'm struggling on.

  • Maintaining throttle control in 3rd gear and above.
  • Transitioning smoothly.
  • Holding lines.

There's probably more that I'm fucking up on but can't see right it away.

Tips for learning to drift

I just started learning not too long ago and I understand how the hand motions work and how much throttle to give it. The only issue is that I am giving it too much gas at times and I can hold a drift for like 3 seconds before either spinning out or straightening again. What tips do you have to help improve. I have watch so many vids and nothing seems to click for me.

Setup to practice irl drifting

Hello, because i live in a country without many drift tracks

I need to start sim drifting to rack up seat time.

My friend (who is not a fan of drifting)is recomending a logitech g29 but i heard its force feedback might not be enough.

I want to make myself a setup that would somewhat translate into real life.

my only sim wheel was an xbox 360 wheel bought for 20 bucks so my knowlege is limited to say the least

My budget would be about 500 Bucks,is that enough for a semi realistic rig?

Thanks in advance for any advice

Sry for sloppy English, its not my first language :) 500 bucks is not including a pc and a monitor

R12 settings for drifting

Does anyone have a good baseline of settings for the moza R12 so I can compare my current settings? As for as gain pithouse is set to 55% and CM is 65 I think. I’ll also adjust the cars in game if I feel I need to lower the FFB
