Hello. My friend and I would like to start a band. My friend plays electric drums and I somewhat play the keyboard and classical guitar. We have some prior music knowledge and want to continue our music journey through a band.

We’re looking for people who can play with us around the north east area in sg. Between ages 16-18. I promise we’re not boring and we would love to play together. We are open to any types of genres but we don’t have much experience, so bare with us as we might need to learn together.

I usually mix 90s jungle, uk dubstep, ukg and 2-step. But, I love mixing other genres as well such as soul, disco, dub and lovers rock. I have done it with friends before and had such a crazy good time haha. Would love to meet new people who have done b2bs themselves and just have fun.

Edit: Doesn't matter if you're a pro. As long as you can do basic mixing

Looking for people’s opinion on difficulty of finding and forming a band in Singapore to jam or perform.

I am in a band now, but honestly not the most aligned band in terms of individual’s music interest and taste.

So I wanted to start this post to see people’s experience in finding a bandmate in Singapore, as the information seems to be very scattered across many different social platforms.

heyyy everyone i know people don't usually come onto reddit but i'm kind of really excited to join the sg music community! i'm 18 years old, female, and i'm moving to singapore in a few days. i'm a trained singer (after few years) and i've been the lead vocalist in a jazz band right before this. now that i'm moving to sg, i'm finding a new band to join.

i can also play the guitar well (i'd say i'm uhhh intermediate?) so that comes in handy in jams/performances as well.

i can sing jazz, pop, grunge, indie, honestly anything and my music taste is very diverse. i love alice in chains, motley crue, metallica, frank sinatra, gary clark jr, scorpions, stuff like that!

i'm not looking for a very serious band, i don't mind just a jam group. if it's possible i'd like to find some people that are of similar age to me (below 25 is perfect) but if not it's totally fine!
