Title: Singapore Field Service Engineers — what’s your salary and years of experience?
Hi everyone, I’m currently exploring a Field Service Engineer (FSE) role in Singapore and would like to get a better idea of the actual market rate.
For those currently working as a Field Service Engineer / Equipment Engineer / Customer Support Engineer, especially in semiconductor, automation, electronics, or similar industries, would you mind sharing:
Years of experience:
Current job title / industry:
Highest qualification: (Diploma / Degree / etc.)
Basic monthly salary:
Allowances: (transport, shift, standby, etc.)
Annual bonus / AWS:
Approx. total annual compensation:
% of travel / overseas work:
Shift / 24/7 standby: Yes/No
Company size/type: MNC / local / equipment manufacturer / etc.
Also, if you’ve progressed from FSE → Senior FSE → Engineer/Manager, it would be really helpful to know how your salary changed with each promotion.
I’m mainly trying to understand the actual salary range in Singapore rather than the figures shown on job websites, so anonymous answers are perfectly fine.
Thanks in advance!

Is this pay competitive? My experience is quite diluted with broadening of roles in the company. Wonder the market rate for engineer/supplyops/analyst role.

Edit: Downstream. Started off as process engineer for 3 years followed by various coordination roles (production/logistic) in the next 7 years.

Hi! I 32M am not a Singaporean or PR. I am working in a Singaporean railway company as an assistant engineer for the past 4 years. I always wanted to get into the oil and gas industry. Any advice what pathway I can take? I have a bachelors degree from a Malaysian International University. I want to move fast while I have the energy and enthusiasm to pursue new challenges. Thanks in advance for your tips!
