We’re a couple and we’ve been rejected at Sisyphos twice by the exact same door guy. Feeling a bit lost and hoping some regulars can help.

First try:
We showed up around 4am dressed pretty casually. He asked “Have you ever been to Sisyphos before?” We said no. Instant “not tonight.”

Second try:
Came back another night in much funkier outfits. Same guy. Same question. Same rejection.

Is the “first time?” question just a soft way of saying no, or are we missing something (vibe, timing, how we carry ourselves, etc.)?

Any tips from couples or people who actually get in regularly would be really appreciated. What actually works at the Sisyphos door?

We met Sunday 02 Aug 26.. then spent like two days together 🤣

You came with two Australians, speak Russian and German, have a lot of tattoos and a Danke hand tat. Said you work with Metal. Live in frankfurt. Used to box.

Maybe you didn't want to stay connected..

Anyway I enjoyed our time together and we left super rushed.

Canadian hippy hedonist here who loves electronic music… is it a German speaking night tonight? Will they shut me down if they hear my Canadian (assumed American?) accent and only speak English? Should I pretend ive been here before and know all the stages and DJs?

Ive done some research on the stages that id like but i dont know if they’re indoor or outdoor

Wintergarten floor: house/garage/disco/soul/jazz (Dan Harris and Ben Gomori)
Dampfer: melodic techno and house (In Between)
