My current list, any recommendations?

My current list, any recommendations?

Hello everyone,

I'm considering taking this list to a upcoming national. I'm planning to going first, and now I'm a bit torn between playing another Roze, Lemnisgate and 2 Desire. Desire was cool and it can be good for both going first and second but I don't like the risk of banning all starters and Engage, which has happened.

Any recommendations is welcomed.

Thinking of replacing desire and 1 lemnigate and 1 roze with 2 thrust and 3 raigeki

Trying to make a good both going first and going second build with striker i feel like the deck is good and consistent enough going first so planning to make the change like above what do you think. Also should i still keep upstart or nah it play to droll but this deck is weak to droll anyway so

Thrust Targets

I'm currently testing some Triple Tactics Thrust Targets in the new format and would like to hear some opinions :)

Currently I've considered the following ones:

- Simul Archfiends: I think this is the most obvious one. Basically stops Decks from having more then 1 of the same extra Deck types. Pretty good against our hardest matchups (Branded & DoomZ) but also against Kewl Tune. Does not affect us at all, since we basically never have more then one Link Monster out anyway.

- Mischief of the Gnomes: Pretty good against DoomZ and also fine against monst synchro decks. Sadly does not stop any deck completly, since DoomZ can do pretty good half-boards and Synchro decks can probably play around. But still a good card to consider.

- Magic Deflector: A classic, sadly I think it does not stop enought Decks and also kinda kills our whole backrow...

- D.D Ground: I mean, its the most sided card for Thrust for a reason... I'm not familiar enough with the format yet to know, if it stops DoomZ, KT and branded enought tho. Also kinda hurts us, since we don't want to get the roze banned that comes from tagging out Zero, but probably worth if it hits the right decks good enough.

- Black Goat Laughs: Still a very good card in Striker but also I don't know if it can stop the line of the 3 most dangerous decks enough or if they can pivot. Branded has like a billion targets for every situation they can fuse, KT also can just go for another synchro and do the one we named a turn later and DoomZ I'm not familiar enough yet.

- SWA Aoi: Stil a very fun one but has 2 Problems:

  1. ending on Shizuku is kinda awkward, especially if we could end on Zero instead.
  2. Most of the time, we get stopped before we can play a body, so the card can be giga dead...

Would like to hear your experience. I currently have slots for 2 cards but am not sure which 2 I would like to run.

*Note: I just run Thrust in the Side Deck, because I think they are not good enough in Game 1, since the only target for going first that someone would consider would be Black Goat and that card is not very good, at least in game 1.

TCG: Super Poly in Sky Striker?

I have seen a rise in the usage of this card in striker lists.

Is it worth it?

On the one hand, I really like its spell speed 4 nature, and its ability to be used to cause droll to miss its window to activate. On the other hand, I am not sure if it fits the deck’s playstyle.

What would a turn zero enabler look like?

We know that Konami's philosophy is pointing at both players playing on both players' turns, from Turn zero. Most of the new decks have turn zero plays.

We know that Sky Striker will eventually get a turn zero card, but does anybody want to guess what would it look like?

The first thing I can think of is a Raye retrain that can summon herself from hand when the opponent activates a spell card, plus retaining the rest of the effects... Though I feel it's kinda boring. So I want to read if any of you have any better or more original ideas.

Budget Sky Striker deck

New to Yu-Gi-Oh TCG and been playing this deck for a few weeks at locals.

Built this with the help of some of the people there. About 90% was built from a single Legendary Modern Decks box (which is why there's only one of Fuwalos and Purulia in the Side Deck), I was given the Radiant Typhoon Vision package by the guy who helped me structure this better. Bought the 2nd copy of Zero off TCGPlayer, and the 2x Book of Moon and 1x Crossout Designator were bought at the shop.

Siding TY-PHON for now because I'm not sure of its use cases as of yet, but a few lists tend to run it. Exciton replaces the S.P.E.C.T.R.A. that the Legendary Modern Decks list came with (transplanted from the Mitsurugi deck in the same box).

What is the point of sky striker in a duel? Where’s the win con ?

If your opponent stacks a board and you’re going second besides pushing out engage zero and wiping is their any other plan that sky striker uses? I have no idea why I’m summoning these links or for what purpose.

TCG: Side Deck Cards for the DoomZ Matchup?

It's really hard to push through DoomZ Destruction, especially if they go 1st after side decking.

I am thinking of playing Lava Golem in the side deck.

Also considering Lightning Storm and Raigeki. I already main deck Illusion Gate and Harpie's Feather Duster.

Ideas?

Thought on eccelsia and the fallen package

Sky striker has been my pet deck since forever and i want to make the deck the best pure sky striker deck as optimal as possible. I may plan to bring this to regional one day and i have heard that the fallen package and eccelsia sychro is really good for striker so are they worth it. The package is pretty hefty but i wanna know are they worth it to run it in striker before i bite the dust and pay like 80$ for the upgrade for goat deck in yugioh

Forbidden Crown Your Own Monster to Survive Opponent’s Turn

Kind of like Eagle Booster. I never thought to do this until I accidentally thought to do so today in response to a Harpie’s Feather Duster. I was shooketh with how useful this was.

That’s all.

If the quickplay chains build up in a handtrap-heavy format, would funny tech like this have a use?

Since RT Vision, Chant, Linkage and the opponent's handtraps, etc

How often would our chain links get to CL3?

This card is kinda useless below CL3, though.

Thoughts

If you run two aldam and one swen with cyanos and roze and three raye……. Why not run reasoning to make the opponent have to use the ash

Side Decking?

Hey Reddit!

I recently got back into playing the physical TCG with a Sky Striker deck, and am currently trying to play a list similar to this one.

My biggest struggle going into the TCG format has been side decking, specifically knowing which cards to remove from my main deck to replace with side cards. I understand wanting to swap in cards like hand traps and Duster/Storm/Illusion Gate/Thrust for going second specifically, but I'm not sure what to remove from the main deck to fit them in instead.

Does anyone have advice on which cards should be removed in this deck, and maybe general advice on how to choose? Thanks!
