Ok!! FFS!! You broke me! I got the new stainless S-C96 too.

When the stainless version was released at the start of the year, like the S-Airship 90, it was just a matter of time. My favourite grade of stainless too, 420. 😁 Seriously though, that is it this time. No more.

S-Scepter, and some olive pit pouches.

Got myself a S-Scepter from SniperSling. It's been on my want list for a while and I managed to free up some cash. Very positive first impressions. I'm very proud of myself too. I managed to control myself and only get one frame and some pouches. That's it, just the one frame, and the pouches. Nothing else.

OK, ok, I'll admit it. I got the S-Airship 90, too, and some skeleton pit pouches.

I've been a big fan of the S-Airship ever since it came out a few years back. When I saw the new 90mm version got released at the start of the year I knew I'd have one eventually. I set the 90 up for 9.5mm steel and the og 85 is set up for 8mm steel. Both are brilliant. I'm just glad I only bought 2 frames and 2 lots of pouches. That's all, just the S-Scepter and the S-Airship 90, and the 2 lots of pouches. Nothing else. Nope. Not me. I have discipline.

The Yeetcaster wheel-lock slingshot

Circumstances mandated this thing be made in order to get a little drone down from high up a tree. The power is stored in a gym band, making it logically a slingshot. It yeets a M24 nut with a string attached over a tree branch, which then can be shaken.
The trigger mechanism is a spinning wheel lock with a release lever like I saw used in medieval crossbows, and actually works brilliantly. The part that doesn't, is the projectile holder. I used a loop of rope to hook the band onto the wheel notch, but that doesn't leave a good spot for the projectile. It often "misfires" when the projectile rolls off the band, with a loss in range and accuracy. Any ideas on how to make some sort of projectile pouch that still has a way of being hooked onto the wheel? I'm a bit antsy about cutting and gluing the band since it is under so much tension, but that would make things easier..

Leading eye, in which hand are you holding the slingshot

guys, my leading eye is the right one, it's convenient for me to hold the slingshot in my right hand, but I shoot constantly past, and when in my left, I shoot accurately, but it's inconvenient for me, it's inconvenient for me to reload, and shoot relatively quickly when the slingshot is in my left hand, I hit it every other time, and when in my right almost at all I'm not getting in. Is the only option to retrain?

Recommendations for kids slingshots?

I just got the Scout LT2 as my first slingshot, and I'm looking for something smaller for my kids, but still has the screw-in plates for the flat bands. The Hornet looks like the right size, but it uses those elastic ties, which seems more complicated than the hex screws, especially when trimming the bands.

Seljan Slant Roller

I just finished modifying the slant roller from simpleshot and to say I love the finished product is the understatement of the century. I was very satisfied with the slingshot out the box but wanted a little more comfortable grip which is why I added a little padding and wrapped that with sport grip to make it fall into my hand and little easier and more comfortably.

What should I do

Hey guys, I am a total novice when it comes to slingshots. Even more novice than that actually. I once looked uo good beginner slingshots on a whim and never went further. But I now have this slingshot "body" or maybe "frame" I dont know terminology. I have inherited from my father. Is it worth banding amd using somehow or is it better a san heirloom?

New here

Hello I’m new to the whole sling thing and wanted a little help figuring out my bands and length I may need. I Currently I have a simple shot lt2 with the bands that came with it but I’m beginning to see minor nicks in it and believe I need to change my bands out.

Power difference between slingshots

I hope someone can help with this...

I have two slinshots, one is a simpleshot scout X (the green one in the photo) and the other is a 3D printed slingshot, which is based on the Simpleshot scout LT (I think), which has slightly smaller gap between the forks, by about 7mm.

I am using the same band on both slinshots (it's a different one in the photo but I have tried the same bands), same active band length, thickness, taper, etc.

The 3d printed one is considerably more powerful.
I do not have a reliable way to measure the speed of the ammo, however I can hear the sound difference, I can feel that the ammo hits the target much faster than the Simpleshot one, and most importantly, the 3D printed one goes through a can of beer clean from side to side, while the scout X cannot even puncture the tin. I have repeated this numerous times and same result.

I am testing with 10mm and 11mm steel ammo, shooting from 10m away.

Is it possible that the slightly narrower fork configuration of the 3d printed model can make that much difference or is there something else that I should look into?

Accuracy is excellent with either slingshots, I just can't figure out why such a massive power/speed difference between the 2.

I have also tried a slightly shorter band on the Simpleshot, to increase the ration of elongation, which should give it more velocity, but it's still slower than the 3D printed one...

New guy here with a silly question

seasoned archer trying out slingshots for the first time, bought an LT2 and think I’ve installed the band wrong. Id like to hold the fork in my left hand, not quite horizontal like a gangsta, but canted at 45 degrees, where it’s most like holding a bow. I’ve installed the bands coming out the left and right side of the forks, is this incorrect? should I have them comin out over the tops of the forks? Any help or advice would be great thanks
