Does anyone know of good and affordable options for Apple CarPlay? I've been searching for a long time and don't want to end up with a bad or laggy one.

I live in Germany and want to buy a SLK. My Budget is around 6-7k Max. Would you rather go with a 170 or 171? My impression from screening the market is that with my budget it is better to get a 170 model in good shape instead of 171 in bad shape. What do you think?

Moreover, how reliable is the car if you buy it in good condition / much budget should I calculate for repairs etc?

Test drove an R172 250 and loved the interior quality over my R171 55AMG. Other than the 350 or 55 R172 is there any way to make it move to 60 faster? ECU tune, new air intake, etc? I don't need V8 power but you REALLY have to wring out that 250 to make it go. 😄Thanks!

Salve a tutti. Ho da poco acquistato una Mercedes SLK 250 modello R172 del 2011. L’auto è in perfette condizioni, fatta eccezione per la cornice di acciaio satinata presente all’interno (la cornice che avvolge stereo e climatizzatore per intenderci). Si tratta di graffi di lieve entità, dovuti probabilmente a bracciali/catenelle/ecc. Ad ogni modo, il mio dubbio è: esiste una soluzione a questo “problema”? Che voi sappiate (per esperienza o per sentito dire), è possibile “restaurare” la cornice in modo tale da rimuovere questi graffi?

I’ve just been to test drive a 2015 SLK 200, everything with it is fine and drive like a dream. However, after a hard right turn like coming out of a junction, the wheel self centers to the right and tries to carry on turning right for about 10/15 seconds. I was wondering before I purchased the car if anyone knows what this could be and if it would be an expensive fix. The garage that has it said that they’d have mechanics look at the issue but I’m not sure if I believe them on that

How do I disable the ABS, EPS, and all the assist in a SLK 200?

I have a car without assist and the SLK, the difference is that the SLK actives the ABS so soon and I’m very confident that without ABS I could brake a lot better

My 2003 slk 320 with 150k miles has recently started displaying the light for the ABS system. Once while I (65F) was driving on the freeway the right side brakes went on and I got spooked. The car veered right and I was afraid the car behind me would hit me because my speed decreased suddenly. I drove home slowly, and took the car to my amazing mechanic, who found a lot of rain water pooling somewhere in the car --since I park it outside--and redid the wiring which was rusty and old.
A month after fixing it--I was charged for 6 hrs of work-$$$), the light comes on again, not right when I start but later during my drive. I have not had any more problems (so far) with the breaks being activated, but I took the car back to the shop where it has been for the past week. No news from my mechanic so far. I wonder if anyone has an idea of what might be going on, or what I am supposed to discuss with the mechanic.
