My Art appreciation class was covering graphic design this week and we had to make a poster for a fake 2 day music festival and I decided to make a sludge metal festival that’s happening in a haunted cave

I've always considered Down to be the first sludge band I got into. Nola was the first sludge album I ever owned.
I recently listened to Bleach for the first time in many years. I didn't know the term Sludge at that time.
I know it's been debated. Nirvana aren't a sludge band. Even Thou covering Nirvana isn't enough to convince me. But if there was a single album that put my brain into sludge this has to be it.
The LP repress that I ordered from Ebullition just landed today!
It probably sounds better than the original and comes with a Cavity sticker & huge insert. I recommend.
I’m looking for more industrial bands but everywhere I look people always recommend Rob Zombie or Rammstein but I want something heavier and more raw, I like Godflesh a little bit but it still doesn’t scratch that itch.
Last Sunday, sludge/black metal/doom/post-metal band Conjurer played at the Little Devil, Tilburg. What kind of band is it, actually? It is difficult to put a name to this English beast; this band mixes heavy sludgy riffs with blast beats, featuring the occasional hardcore-inspired breakdown. All of this comes together in a healthy mix, where one genre doesn't overpower the other but rather adds more layers to this already lyrically heavy music. Expectations were very high; time to see if they would be met. Read the full review via the link
Recently got this PS2 and it reads some games funny. Think a pass with this DVD should clean things up 😂🤘
Am I the only one that can never seem to get a good tone from a distorted/fuzz pedal into a clean amp? I know it’s pretty common in especially in the doom metal sphere (which is what I’m mainly playing) with guys like Mike Scheidt from YOB, Jus Oborn from Electric Wizard (in the earlier days), etc… For me anytime I try that it just sounds terribly harsh with no mids or low end. So I always end up running my dirt pedals through an amp with a bit of crunch already going. Just curious on y’all’s thoughts and experiences. Peace!
Absolutely killer set from these legends on Friday. Catch them if you can on an upcoming date because holy shit.
As the title suggests, here is my doom/sludge reinterpretation of this Depeche Mode classic. I have a YT channel called COVERED IN SLUDGE, and this is my second release.
Hello everyone, I am a big fan of in the name of suffering and I want to find more albums like it. I have listened to the other Eyehategod releases and while I do like them, ITNOS just hits a little different due to the hardcore influences being so prevalent. Thanks!
Demo recording from norwegian 3-piece sludge band «gud» which simply translates to «god».
Classic hardcore sludge with lots of groove.
no offical albums released.
Years ago, Henry from the bands floor/dove/cavity/house of lighting gave me this tape. He said he was in San Francisco with band mate Jason, cavity/black cobra and Jason suggested Henry come with him to a show. “The guitar player from sleep has a new band”. He said they walked into “bottom of the hill” and Jason put a boombox on his shoulder and hit record. This tape is the result and is the only copy. What should I do with it other than listing to it at my house alone? Should I upload it to YouTube or is that not cool???

Stumbled upon this while browsing bandcamp like 10 minutes ago. Looks like there's vinyl also released on May 22nd!
My wife playing the opening riff from our song, The End is Inevitable from our band Azell.
