Amendment Advice

Hello everyone, some time ago I asked for advice about getting bottoms for smart dolls as I’m still pretty new to the hobby!

I bought some jeans from AliExpress and was able to tailor them so they looked a bit more form fitting on my dolls. The issue is that, I think they are quite long, and I’m really not sure how to go about adjusting the length without ruining the flare effect, I have very little sewing experience.

Any tips out there?🥲

Decided to re-dress my crew - got stuck :(

Wanted to re-dress them all since it’s literally 98 degrees here today. Problem? Suddenly I don’t like anything I have so have 4 bare dolls 😩 What do you do when this happens because I hate leaving them bare.

What camera(s) do you use to take pictures of your dolls?

I've been considering getting a camera lately more and more. Not the first time the thought has popped into my head over the last 2 years. As of right now I mainly use my phone. I would use it for doll photography and diving back into landscapes. I've mainly been looking at Sony cameras much to my friend's horror (she's a loyal Nikon owner 🤣). To be honest I'm open to any brand, but do prefer mirrorless. Anyways, what cameras are good for doll/toy and landscape photography, that I can grow into? I like a good resolution too. And before I forget, lens recommendations too. Thank you!

Trying on some new clothes!

Trying on some new clothes.

Outfit are from my Goodwill's collection of porcelain dolls. Its a little tight on the sleeves for a male doll but for a girl smart doll I'll sure it would be no trouble. Also for a girl you'd likely have to tighten the waist. Sleeves will become shorter no matter what. You'll want to look at the taller dolls closer to the smart dolls height.

Smart Doll Recommendations

I’m looking into buying my first smart doll and want to find one that looks sorta similar to me.

I was hoping for some recommendations for Smart Dolls that look semi realistic (not anime) and have similar features to me. I think the Tea skin tone matches me best but I’m open to recommendations!

I’m looking for a doll with tan skin, dark eyebrows, dark eyelashes and a friendly expression :D
