Recently told my buddy id like to try out pipe smoking, he gave me these pipes and some tobacco. Got some questions

Are different pipes for different effects or types of tobacco or is it just preference?

He gave me a "bones" pipe, a "tsuge bamboo made in japan", an "aged briar church warden made in taly", and a "radice bark t/bo 2007 oil cured".

Never smoked tobacco before. Smoked cigars a couple times.

Also for tobacco he gave me a tin of "squadron leader" a can of "maltese falcon", ans a glass jar of "briar works bacon old fashion".

Any tips or info would be greatly appreciated. He didnt give me too much info except once I open them to put humidifier packets in with the tobacco

A perfect Sunday morning

It’s a spectacular beginning to the day here. I’m on the porch with some music, coffee, and my cat. Starting the day with Haunted Bookshop in an H. Wiebe with Morgan bowl.

Spur of the moment purchase I made today while buying tobacco.

I’ve been figuring out what I like these last couple months and come to the conclusion that I’m more of a sweet aromatics kinda guy. I can do a non-aromatic smokey/mesquite kind of tobacco but I have to be in a certain mood but most of the time what I want is the sweet stuff. So I went to the tobacconist today with every intention of just expanding my selection of sweet aromatic varieties to have on hand at home and I saw these beautiful Hanseatic red stained pipes they had just gotten in yesterday and for only $60 I couldn’t help myself. Absolutely wonderful pipe! Clenches nicely in the teeth, nice hand feel and smokes like a dream. Highly recommend if you see these in the wild!

Proud of my german traditional clay pipe.

Im smoking Daily with my german pipe. I like It because unlike wood It Is neutral and doesn't add flavour to the tobacco.
