Koda gained his sea legs!

It's been super hot so we decided to head to the coast and cool down in the North Sea. The last time we went, Koda wanted little to do with the water, which is typical for him. He's not a water dog, that's for sure. The furthest he'll go into water is legs. But to my shock and awe, this time he realized on his own that not only could he swim, but that it was super fun! He swam around (with my SO in the water always just out of frame, making sure he was okay, he wasn't out in deep water by himself) quite a bit, entirely on his own volition. A swimming collie!

Bonus: the background bridge-looking thing with the wind turbines is part of the Deltaworks, a Dutch marvel of engineering keeping the North Sea from flooding the inland parts.

Trouble finding a Breeder [South East US]

I’ve been seeking to start building a relationship with a breeder because i’m looking for a SD prospect for next year. I started with the club of america and health foundation websites and have emailed well over a dozen breeders within the last 6 months and only two have gotten back to me, both saying they have no planned litters within the next few years.

Has anyone else had this much trouble with getting in contact with breeders?
If not what was your experience? At this point i’m willing to travel farther than planned.
But i need a breeder that prioritizes health and temperament, along with carefully placing pups based on individual family needs/lifestyles, etc..
