I paid for premium today, after importing my TV Time data. But some obscure shows are missing. Is there any way I can request or add them? :) really enjoying the app so far
Also, I would love the option to change the overview of my lists. They are super long and it would be much more convenient (and look nicer) if one row had 3 shows, instead of just 1 per row
Hi everyone!
We’ve opened a public form for anyone interested in joining the Sofa Time Android beta program.
You can apply here: https://sofatime.app/beta/
Please keep in mind that beta activation may take up to 24 hours after submitting the form.
Thank you so much for all the interest, support, and patience. We’re really excited to have more of you testing Sofa Time on Android!
I already left a comment on a series, and there's already a following/followers tab
i started testing the beta today (and i'm looooving it, by the way), and i have a few things to say based on my experience after using the app for a few hours on ANDROID.
the first thing might sound a little silly, but it's something i've been noticing, so i wanted to mention it here: most of the posters don't seem to be very high quality, whether you're looking at them from the home page, inside a show's or movie's page, or even in lists. the same goes for the backgrounds. they also seem to be cropped in a way that cuts off a big part of the image when they're selected.
still talking about backgrounds, i noticed something else: when i choose a new poster for a show, it stays saved, but when i choose a background for the show's page, it doesn't. that's another thing i noticed, and since customization is one of the app's features, it's something that matters a lot to me because i love personalizing everything i can.
the app is great, and i really hope it keeps getting even better in the future!

Here's m'y issue with thé Android beta:
- I exported my data from TV Showtime and imported it into Trakt.
- My Trakt account is correct and currently contains about 1,100 watched movies and 6,700 watched TV episodes.
- On Sofa Time for iPad, I simply connected my Trakt account and everything synced perfectly. All my movies and TV shows are there.
- On Sofa Time Android Beta, using the exact same Trakt account, my TV shows sync correctly, but only about 250 watched movies are imported. Most of my watched movies are missing.
I've already tried:
- uninstalling and reinstalling the app,
- disconnecting and reconnecting Trakt,
- syncing through Sofa Cloud from my iPad instead of Trakt.
The result is always the same: Android never imports more than about 250 watched movies.
Since everything works correctly on iOS with the same Trakt account, I don't think the issue is with my Trakt data.
Has anyone else experienced this on the Android beta, or found a workaround?
Hi everyone,
I recently imported my TV Time data into Sofa Time, and overall the import went well. However, I've noticed a strange issue with anime.
For many series, only the first season is marked as watched, while all the following seasons are marked as unwatched, even though I watched everything on TV Time.
Is there a way to fix it without marking every season manually?
Thanks!
Hi I’m new to sofa time and coming from tv time like some many others. I did an import/sync via trakt but have found that I don’t see any of my shows. Does the sync take time to appear or am I doing something wrong? TIA for the help.
I never thought I would find myself bummed about an app coming to a close, much less one that I use to track TV shows. Like a lot of people who used TV Time, I looked at multiple apps and have found this one works the best for me.
Just a thanks to the team behind the app. Looking forward to continuing to track my shows and any updates done within the app.
Hey guys, so i like many people recently migrated from tv time to sofa time, and i've been loving the app so much even with the free version (seriously considering buying the premium version i'd appreciate any input if it's worth it) but i've noticed that unlike tv time there no such such as stopped watching ( as in the show was bad so i dont want to continue thus i stopped) there also isnt a watch later (shows i started but stopped for now, but i'll defo come back to them in the future). When imported, these two categories immediately went into my continue watching, so is there any way to sort them out. RIP tv time!!
Hey everyone!
I’m receiving a huge wave of requests from people all around the world who want to join the Sofa Time Android beta — through Reddit DMs, email, and X.
Thank you so much for the amazing support and excitement. Please be patient — I’ll do my best to reply to everyone as soon as possible!
The Android version is moving forward, and I can’t wait for you to try it.
A lot of people wonder why their data changes after importing it from TV Time into apps like Sofa Time, Serializd, and others.
The main reason is that these apps don't use the same metadata source.
- TV Time uses TheTVDB as its primary database.
- Most other tracking apps use The Movie Database (TMDb).
Because these databases are maintained independently, they often have different:
- Show and episode artwork
- Episode titles
- Season ordering (especially for specials)
Release dates
- TV show or movie IDs
This is why, after importing your data, you might notice:
- Different posters or backdrops
- Different episode names
- Missing TV shows, movies, or specials
- Episodes matched incorrectly or not matched at all
The import itself usually isn't the problem. The issue is that the app has to match your watch history from one database (TheTVDB) to another (TMDb), and those databases don't always have identical information.
Unfortunately, there's no perfect solution unless both apps use the same metadata source or provide manual matching for unmatched entries.
Gostaria de fazer parte do teste do aplicativo
A little thing thats annoying me is when I open the app I would like to see my own what I'm watching first. Not discovery. I think the watchlist should be moved to the first icon. So that when you first open the app up this is what you see. Then discovery second so I can search if I want. It feels strange the other way around.
How often does Sofa Time sync with Trakt? Can it be changed? Because it is not syncing in real time, examples when I mark something in the app, when I finish a show on a or a movie on a TV App.
I’m coming from TV Time and was tryin to move my history from TV Time using TV Time + Trakt exports into Sofa Time. some episodes I haven’t watched are marked watched and others are missing. Anyone have a simple fix or safe way to reconcile without losing real data?
I followed the instructions and somehow I cant import my data
EDIT: issue has been resolved I was using wrong file
Hi, Dropped show doesn’t sync from Sofa to Trakt. I tried deleting the data from trakt and redoing the sync, deleting the cash and restoring a backup on Sofa but it didn't solve the problem. How can I fix it? Thanks
hey, is it possible in watch tab to list the episodes i am watching with current season cover rather than episode screenshot?
Just imported files from TV time to Trackt, then to Sofa time.
Movies are synced but I have a problem with tv series.
They don’t appear in watched episodes even though they are in the TV Shows “folder” as watched, when I enter the folder none of the shows are selected as watched therefore they don’t appear in the watched episodes count at the top of the profile.
Does someone know how do i fix this? 😅
