Mindfulness inputs?

I had asked this some time back but have seen nothing new.

Will there be any options for importing meditation as mindfulness from other sources? I use Calm for meditation as well as Oura to monitor my HR/HRV during sessions. Can either of these be pulled into Sonar?

Nutracheck synchronization

I have noticed that the syncing of my nutritional data stopped working yesterday after being flawless. I have manually refreshed, didn't work, deleted the app from sonar. Then readded successful but still no data flowing through although the sync reports successful. Anyone else having issues?

Sforzo

April 30, 2026 | Introducing Sonar 4.0

Version 4.0.0

Last week we began rolling out Sonar 4.0 - a major step forward in personalized health. It includes i) Sonar AI, a personal health agent grounded in your data, ii) a redesigned Home screen built around your current day, iii) a brand new Trends experience for understanding how you're doing over time, iv) expanded customization of the overall layout and wallpapers, v) faster ways to move across time periods, vi) meaningful additions to the free experience, and vii) a series of performance improvements intended to make the app experience faster and more fluid.

As of today, the release finished rolling out to all iOS users, with the Android release scheduled for next week.

Meet Sonar AI

Sonar AI is a personal health agent built directly into Sonar and plugged into the data across all of your wearables, health apps, and IoT devices. It's available for Sonar Pro users today, and lets you ask questions, explore trends, understand changes in your scores, and get more context around your sleep, recovery, strain, nutrition, stress, energy, workouts, and more.

We took our time on Sonar AI. Rather than rush something out, we spent considerable effort building the data foundation that makes a health-aware AI useful in the first place: the pipelines, baselines, retrieval layers, and evaluation systems needed for responses to reflect your actual data rather than generic advice. An AI that is confident but unreliable about your health is not worth using. We wanted Sonar AI to feel like the opposite. Getting to good depth of context behind each response usually comes at the cost of speed, but our team was able to minimize this tradeoff through a series of optimizations, and responses should feel quick on average.

When you open a conversation, Sonar AI already understands your latest scores, personal baselines, recent trends, and patterns Sonar has detected across your data. You can ask things like “Why is my recovery low today?”, “How did last week compare to the week before?”, or “What’s been going on with my sleep?” and get answers grounded in the context of your data.

Personal memory & health context

Sonar AI can remember important personal context and apply it across future conversations. You might tell it that you're training for a marathon, that you're dealing with a cold, that you're traveling for the next two weeks, that you're a new parent and sleeping poorly, or that you're trying to break a specific habit. Sonar AI will hold onto that context and factor it into how it interprets your data going forward.

You have full control over what's saved. You can search your saved memories, edit their expiration dates, and delete any of them at any time from the memory settings.

Tone and response length

Sonar AI's voice is configurable. You can choose between a gentleneutral, or direct tone, and adjust response length between concisebalanced, or descriptive. The defaults work well for most people, but if you'd prefer quicker, terser answers — or longer, more explanatory ones — you can dial it in.

Voice input

Tap the record button, speak your message, and tap again to send. You'll be asked for microphone permission the first time you use it. This is particularly useful mid-workout, while cooking, or when you'd rather think out loud than type.

Suggested prompts, copy, share, and feedback

When you start a new conversation, Sonar AI will offer a few suggested prompts based on your recent data. Each AI response includes copy and share buttons, plus thumbs up and thumbs down icons for sending us quick feedback. We expect Sonar AI's consistency and depth to keep improving meaningfully over the coming months, and the feedback you send is the single most useful input we have for prioritizing those improvements.

Where to find Sonar AI

You'll now see AI-generated insights across the Home and Trends screens, generated from your latest data and updated throughout the day as new data comes in. These insights are designed to surface patterns, changes, and areas worth exploring — without you having to go looking for them. Tap any insight to expand it, and tap again to collapse.

You can reach Sonar AI from a few places: the new dedicated Sonar AI tab, the Ask Sonar AI buttons on the Home and Trends screens, or by tapping any performance insight throughout the app on every workout summary and metric summary screen. The intent is for Sonar AI to be one tap away from any data point you might be curious about.

What Sonar AI is and isn't

Sonar AI is designed to support general wellness and help you understand your own data. It is not a medical provider, and it does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice. For anything concerning a medical condition, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

A redesigned Home screen

The Home screen has been rebuilt around a simple idea: giving you a real-time view of how you're doing today. The biggest structural change is that all of your major scores — Recovery, Sleep, Strain, Nutrition, Energy Reserve, and Stress — now live on the Home screen. This was one of the most widely requested changes from the Sonar community, and the result is an app that feels noticeably easier and faster to use day to day.

The Home screen now includes:

  • Daily Goals — shown in a grid layout inspired by the Daily Goals widget. You can track and add as many goals as you'd like, all visible at a glance.
  • Nutrition — a dedicated section for calories, macros, and blood glucose.
  • Training — your latest cardio load plus your three most recent workouts from the past two weeks. Tap on cardio load to open a summary screen that shows deeper analytics like ATL, CTL, and TSB.
  • Sleep — your latest sleep stages compared against your typical ranges.
  • Strain Target — your recommended daily strain range, based on your recovery and activity trends.
  • Vital Trends — redesigned to make it easier to see when metrics are inside or outside your typical range, with the ability to turn metrics off and reorder them by tapping Edit.

To customize the Home screen, scroll to the bottom and tap Edit Home. From there, you can choose which sections appear and in what order. You can keep the Home screen simple and focused on your core scores, build a detailed Daily Goals dashboard with twenty or more goals, or land somewhere in between. The point is for the Home screen to feel like yours.

A brand new Trends screen

The former Health tab has been replaced with a new Trends screen. This was a deliberate split: Home answers how am I doing today?, and Trends answers how am I doing over time?

A lot of health apps have started to converge in feature set and visual design over the past few years, so our product and design teams spent a lot of time thinking about the Trends experience from first principles. We did extensive product research and testing to land on something we think genuinely improves how people explore their own data.

You can focus the entire screen on a single category — Activity, Sleep, Nutrition, Body Composition, Recovery, Heart, and others. When you select a category, every section of the Trends screen updates to show the most relevant metrics, charts, comparisons, and insights for that area. It's effectively a different dashboard for every part of your health, with consistent navigation across all of them.

The Trends screen includes:

  • Compare Metrics — compare up to six metrics at once by tapping the metric pills above the chart. Values are normalized on a 0–100 scale so metrics with different units can be viewed alongside each other.
  • Correlation — explore how two metrics move together over time (for example, exercise and sleep). A positive correlation means both tend to rise together; a negative correlation means as one rises, the other tends to fall.
  • Community Insights — see how you compare to similar users (grouped by birth sex and age) and to the broader Sonar population.
  • Charts — redesigned to show changes over any time period more clearly, with drag-to-sort reordering and an Edit button for adding or removing metrics. This is essentially a unification of our previous Charts and Trends sections from the old Home screen.
  • AI insights — generated on the fly across Compare Metrics and Correlation to surface patterns in the data you're currently viewing. These are produced by an actual AI model reasoning over your data, not a series of pre-baked rules.
  • Interactive charts — Compare Metrics, Correlation, and Community Insights all support a long-press and scrub gesture to inspect specific data points.
  • Powerful customization — swipe right on any section's collection view and tap Configure to add, remove, or reorder its metrics. Tap Edit in the Charts section to add or remove charts. At the bottom of the Trends screen, tap Edit Trends to reorder sections or hide ones you don't use.
  • Favorites — a new category that lets you build a custom Trends view from the metrics you care about most.

You can change the time period at the top of the Trends screen by opening the calendar picker, or by swiping from the left or right edge of the screen to advance between time periods.

Faster navigation across time

Moving across time periods is one of those small frictions that shows up in almost every health app, so a key focus for Sonar 4.0 was making it as easy as possible to jump, swipe, and explore your data across days, weeks, months, and years.

  • On Home, Trends, and Activity, you can now swipe from the left or right edge of the screen to move between time periods.
  • Trends and Activity include new calendar popups at the top of the screen for jumping directly to any date range.
  • Based on user feedback, charts now default to showing the most recent week, month, or year of data, rather than calendar weeks, months, or years.

More control over your background

We've significantly expanded the variety of wallpapers in Sonar, with backgrounds that change across morning, afternoon, and evening.

Wallpapers are now unified across the main screens for visual consistency, and you can customize the blur level by scrolling to the bottom of the Home screen, tapping Edit Home, selecting Update Wallpaper, and choosing Blur.

As a reminder, you can use any image you want as your wallpaper — a favorite family photo or even a plain black image if you prefer something distraction-free. Sonar now progressively dims the wallpaper as you scroll down each screen, which improves contrast and readability without changing the overall feel of the app.

A cleaner app structure

Sonar 4.0 ships with a redesigned tab bar and a cleaner overall structure.

The Profile tab has moved to the top right of the screen, and a new Add tab now sits at the far right of the tab bar. From there, you can quickly sync a new device, add data, or add and view appointments. We'll continue expanding what's available in the Add tab over time.

https://preview.redd.it/hrg03lryk60h1.jpg?width=2233&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e94fd5e621cabe3abf3b3898722f30e4aec96575

Activity improvements

The Activity tab has been updated for design consistency with the rest of the app, including refined chart visuals and date markers.

The workout filter button has moved closer to the Your Activity section to make it easier to reach. Users with a large number of logged workouts should also notice significantly smoother scrolling thanks to performance optimizations behind the scenes.

More free features

Since the beginning, we've been committed to offering a meaningful free experience in line with our mission to improve health span globally. With Sonar 4.0:

  • Current-day Recovery, Sleep, Strain, and Nutrition scores are now free for all users.
  • The Progress Report section of the Trends screen is now free.
  • The new Strain Target section is free.
  • On the Activity screen, free users can now go back and view recaps of any previous week, instead of being limited to the current week.

As Sonar continues to grow, we’ll keep looking for ways to make more of the product available for free while continuing to invest in the advanced features that make Sonar Pro possible.

Performance and technical improvements

All main screens have been rebuilt from scratch using the latest Apple frameworks, which makes a real difference on chart-heavy screens with Liquid Glass visual effects, where translucence can be especially taxing.

Energy Reserve and other heavier scores now calculate on the fly significantly faster, thanks to a series of optimizations under the hood.

Other fixes and improvements

  • Added HRV support for Zepp and Amazfit users
  • Continued refinement of Recovery, Strain, Sleep, Stress, Nutrition, and Energy Reserve algorithms based on new training methods & user feedback
  • General bug fixes and performance enhancements
