"The Breaking," A Tale of The Imperial Fists Against The Iron Warriors
youtube.comWhat is Themis Documentaries?
One of the custom planets named Miseria!
Hey everyone! I wanted to introduce Themis Documentaries, an ongoing alternate-history / analog-horror project centered around the Solar System, space exploration, and a fictional history that slowly becomes much stranger than it first appears.
It is currently on Episode 2, and you can find it on the official YouTube channel here: https://youtube.com/@themisdocumentaries?si=_MhHCX2sbKUSp3Wv
Themis Documentaries is presented through things like archival footage, mission records, documents, broadcasts, timelines, and other in-universe material. The idea is to make it feel like you're uncovering a piece of history that was never supposed to be found.
A big part of Themis is the Solar System itself. Planets, moons, missions, astronomical discoveries, and historical events are all connected to the larger story. Some things may look completely normal at first, while other details gradually reveal that something is very, very wrong.
What I'm aiming for
- Atmospheric horror rather than relying on shock content
- A detailed and consistent fictional history
- Astronomy and space exploration as major parts of the setting
- Analog-horror presentation inspired by old broadcasts and archival media
- Original characters, locations, missions, and events
- Details that reward people who pay attention and piece the story together
The project is still being worked on, so there's plenty of room for new ideas and improvements. I'm especially interested in people who enjoy worldbuilding, astronomy, alternate history, analog horror, writing, art, or just making weird fictional universes.
If you'd like to help with Themis Documentaries, have an idea, want to contribute something, or just want to talk about the project, feel free to DM me on Discord at .thymuffin.
Thanks for reading, and welcome to Themis Documentaries.

what do you guys like about being scared?
I've watched a few horror movies(Annihilation is the most fearful) to try them out, but being scared feels uncomfortable/painful to me. What part of watching horror movies is enjoyable? I'm curious about the sensation that brings you guys back to the genre.
