This is a reminder post that for the upcoming SGDQ 2026 starting tomorrow the tracker at https://gdqstats.com is online again — and this year it’s a complete rewrite of the old site.

It shows donation, viewer and chat stats for SGDQ 2026 in real time, alongside the schedule. New this year:

• Live donation ticker and donation modes: cumulative total, $/min rate, and pace vs. SGDQ 2025 Chat activity (messages/min) for Twitch and YouTube as its own chart — fun to watch spike during run finales
• Viewers across platforms: Twitch, YouTube and community restreams, stacked or separate
• Compare with every GDQ back to 2014** — overlay any past marathon’s donation and viewer curves

I want to start by saying that I have absolutely adore and cherished watching GDQ over the years but recently it seems like their big events have everything to do with pushing an agenda outside of what they are raising money for.

I understand that I'm welcoming down votes, but when I witness a cheering for everything except for the eradication of cancer or medical attention in third world countries, I can't help but wonder what we're doing with these fundraisers.

And no, this has ZERO to do with an under appreciation of sexual or gender preference.

Edit #1: Wild that a post about cheering for an eradication of cancer and the elimination of medical treatment for third world countries would get down voted and met with unrelated animosities so quickly. This is exactly what I've called out.

first completion of the pool world in under 46 minutes under IW timing 30s ahead of 2nd and with the minute barrier being extremely tight that mirco including seed selects and menuing mattered. This was not done in a full any% run which would be 46:05 under that timing method but if this was the pool done in the current Any% WR and if 5-10 rng was slightly better, a 3:09 could be achieved which shows that the last possible 10 minute barrier in Any% is closer than it seems

It's hard not popping off to a game like this lol.

A few weeks ago I announced an Armored Core Speedrun Bounty of $900 USD for July, which starts today! From July 1st to July 31st the player or players with the fastest times submitted during this time will be rewarded $300, $600, or all $900 USD.

You do not need to set a new world record to claim the bounty. You only need to be faster than everyone else who submitted a time during the month of July.

Hello there everyone! It is I! Thorebane, once again, I am here to give you the upcoming SGDQ event info and links as I do each year!

So first off, if you're new here to these events, WELCOME!!!

This year, we are hosting at and from, once again:-

Hilton Minneapolis Downtown, Minneapolis, Minnesota

• This event will be a mixed of in person, AND online runs!!!
• This event will also be raising money for the charity:

Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)!!!

So... what is GDQ?

GDQ is a semi-annual video game speed-run charity marathon held in the United States, originally organized by the Speed Demo's Archive and Speed-runs Live communities. The two main marathons, AGDQ and SGDQ, are both 7-day, 24-hour straight marathons that are streamed mainly on Twitch and YouTube.

On top of the streams being in English, in the last few years there has been a French, German, Spanish, Russian, and even a full Japanese re-stream, with people giving up their own time to translate and commentate in their own native language. Since 2015, it has been handled by Games Done Quick, LLC.

Held since 2010, the events have raised money for several charities; the most common two being the Prevent Cancer Foundation (AGDQ) and Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) (SGDQ)

What do AGDQ and SGDQ stand for?!

AGDQ -- Stands for Awesome Games Done Quick.

Originally called Classic Games Done Quick (CGDQ), This marathon is usually held at the start of each year and runs for a week straight (most typically starting the first or second week of Jan running Sunday to Sunday).

SGDQ -- Stands for Summer Games Done Quick.

This marathon is usually held at the start of most people's summers/end of exam time for schools. (Most typically a week either at the end of June or the start of July, again, running Sunday to Sunday).

As of March, 30th, 2026, GDQ has now raised for charities since it began over:

• $60,050,648.64 (That's insane!!!) across a total of 63 events and marathons from 1,039,959 separate unique doners.
