Substrate: coco coir / black kow

Modified 6 qt dub tub with a casing layer I made too thick. It’s pinning aggressively now, but a few of the earliest pins/blobs have dark blue-gray caps.

Trying to figure out if they’re just bruised from pushing through the casing or if they’re aborting. I don’t want to open too early and disturb the new pinset, but I also don’t want aborts sitting long enough to rot.

No obvious slime, wet black/brown goo, fuzzy mold, or bad signs from what I can see. More pins are still popping up.

Would you leave them until harvest or pull suspected aborts early? At what point is abort removal worth opening the tub to avoid potential contam from rot?

First flush

I made this jar up last night in my PC with some corn grain jars I pasteurizing...its more golden than my others. I was wondering if I should inoculate it or toss it. It looks great just not my usual clear...also im new with my PC and this was the first true 15psi for 60 minutes run. I just recently figured out the gauge etc.

i fucked around and listened to reddit users and they told me after my 2 and half weeks of growth the B&S i did caused bags to turn blue cuz of mold but chatgpt is saying it’s cuz of harsh breakup and the mycellium needs to reevaluate and turn white again. just trying to figure out what’s what i started with 6 bags now IM left with 2, i highly doubt all my bags have contam, open to suggestions

1:2 cvg + a little horse manure

i ended up putting a whole pack of the MGK manure booster so guessing that’s why it took so long to fruit. fruits came out pretty cool looking too!
