I was a new account in this community myself not that long ago, so when this seller reached out to me with low interaction and low karma, I get it — everyone starts somewhere. I decided to give him a chance on some nice cards.

For context, I’ve done 50+ deals in here and every single one has gone smoothly. I’ve worked hard to build a good reputation on good communication, keeping buyers updated on shipping and tracking with pictures the whole way through.

This seller claims he has plenty of vouches in the community, but won’t say who from. So I’m curious — has anyone here actually completed a successful transaction with him?

I don’t want anyone else to go through what I’m going through right now, especially since he’s got pics of some very high-end cards that could tempt people the same way it tempted me. Here’s exactly how it went down

TL:DR - new/low-karma account, pushed hard for friends & family or Venmo-to-Venmo relay payments, “PayPal glitch” excuse to move off-platform, price kept dropping to create urgency, then got aggressive and accusatory the moment a claim was filed. Classic pattern — steer clear.

Here’s exactly how it went down (screenshots attached):

• Reached out to me directly, asking if I was buying from someone else’s post I’d commented on

• We agreed on a Pink Wemby card — I sent payment right away

• He then sent me more high-end cards and offered 80% off anything I wanted

• We agreed on a second deal: $2,400 for 8 cards

• I tried to send payment to the same PayPal I’d just paid him on — it failed, saying “recipient cannot accept payments right now”

• He claimed he got a suspicious activity flag from PayPal and told me to use Venmo instead

• The Venmo he sent had only 2 friends and no transaction history

• That Venmo also failed to accept my payment

• He then offered to let me pay $800 upfront via friends & family, with the rest due on delivery

• He sent a UPS tracking label that he prepaid

• He then dropped the price from $2,400 to $1,000 for all the cards

• I agreed, but said I needed to see UPS actually scan/accept the package first

• He pressured me, saying he’d sell the cards to someone else if I didn’t pay, and again pushed for half upfront/half on delivery

• He then asked me to do him a “favor”: have a friend of his send me money on PayPal, which I’d then forward to him on Venmo

• I ignored that request and filed a PayPal claim, since at this point it was clearly a scam

• After I filed the claim, he suddenly said he’d already dropped the Wemby card off at UPS

• When he realized I’d filed a claim, he accused me of doing it after he dropped it off — but it was actually an hour before, and UPS still hadn’t acknowledged receiving any package

• He told me to close the claim

• I refused, since closing it means I can’t reopen a claim on that transaction

• He then insinuated I was the scammer

• He threatened to intercept the package if I didn’t close the claim

• I told him that was fine — refund me and go get his package
