HELP: BRIDESMAID IN WEDDING AND HANDS ARE ORANGE

HELP: BRIDESMAID IN WEDDING AND HANDS ARE ORANGE

I’m traveling for a wedding and have gotten spray tans several times before at home. I booked at a salon where I’m traveling that came recommended. My hands are COMPLETELY orange and I’m a bridesmaid in a wedding literally tomorrow. This is the rapid tan with a 3 hour rinse and I followed every instruction. Panicking and don’t know what to do - calling the salon first thing when they open this morning but obviously I know it’s hard to “fix” these things due to the nature of the tan.

Please help - I am truly devastated if anyone has any remedies that have TRULY worked for removal after it’s only been on for 12 hours.

Quick question before the big day

My fiancée got a spray tan recently and it looks great. She had her nails done beforehand, but now, two days before the wedding, she’s wanting to redo her gel nails and is worried about the acetone soak affecting the tan. Do you think she should go ahead with it?

Nuda Solutions

I'm going to be switching from Sjolie to Nuda because I live in Canada and its a more affordable option for me. My questions is what solutions should I start off with? I'd like a few classics and rapids to have on hand, while not buying the whole line to start off.

Wedding spray tan timeline!

Hi everyone!

My wedding is in about 2 weeks, and I am questioning my spray tan timeline.

My wedding is on a Saturday and I am flying to the location the Wednesday before (leaving ~6pm). Currently, I have my spray tan booked for the Tuesday evening before. I'm planning to get a rapid solution, which is what I got during my trial.

Should I move my spray tan to Wednesday morning? I am new to spray tanning and originally booked the Tuesday bc it will be with the same girl who did my trial. She's not working the Wednesday morning. I'm a bit wary about going to someone new for such a big event. Would love any advice!

Continual spray tanning question

Hi! I’m new here. I’ve had spray tans a few times before events and I love the results but here’s my question- for the people who get regular spray tans throughout the summer- what’s your technique for removing the old tanner? Or is it somewhat ok to layer some old tanner with a new tan if you’re just moisturizing daily and doing a good exfoliation a couple days before?

I’d love to keep that glow all summer but I literally cannot find clear info on this- a lot of mixed reviews on products that claim they can remove a tan ect. Like how did Arianna Grande do it? How does Nikki Glaser do it?

Thanks guys!

Spray tanning newbie! Help!

So I’m going to get my first ever spray tan tomorrow. I am pretty confident in all the prep steps as I’ve used an at home fake tan for years. I know I want to do a clear solution and maybe the rapid rinse option since I have an 11 month old lol. What is confusing me a little is I see some videos where you can get a prep spray, then 1 layer full body, the double up legs only, and then add a hydration layer. I think that’s what I want to do in medium, clear. Do you have to say all that at the front desk or do you get to select everything on the machine in the room? Also do you have to ask for all the extras (hair net, nose plugs (I’m pregnant so a need), disposable thong etc up front or are they in the room for you to use? Lastly, I plan on doing the May Days $10 tan, if I do all the sprays I mentioned is that still $10 or how much extra would it add on? I’m 11 months postpartum AND pregnant so I have a little more weight on than I’m used to, so for harder to get places (underboob, back rolls, under belly) would it be okay to bring a mitt with me and at the end of the spray tan to rub the solution into those places to ensure an even tan? And then lastly and tips on how to make it last longer are more than appreciated!

How long?

Royally messed up my hands. I used the blending lotion and removed it afterwards but somehow something went wrong. How long until they look somewhat normal?

Wedding spray tan

I’m getting married in July & just got my trial spray tan. It looks GREAT but I swear the area near my armpits immediately went back to my normal skin color within 48 hours. What can I do to help them look even for my wedding? I’m getting married in July & am very pale so it looks weird because I don’t tan very much in general. I am also a SWEATER but have very sensitive skin so there’s a lot of deodorants/antiperspirants I can’t use because they will just break me out. Any advice is appreciated 🫶🏼

Tips for scars?

I have scarring on my inner elbows from chronic eczema. Got toy first spray tan recently, and I prepped exactly to the instructions, and did the same for post spray care. After 24 hours I’ve noticed that where my scars are it’s darker than the rest and also has a white ring around my scars. I’m trials this to see if I want to do it for my wedding, are there any tips for even color on scarred skin?

Spray tan before Mexico?

Hello, I’m going to an all inclusive in Mexico and will be at the beach and pool for hours a day. Will the spray tan wash off instantly in the pool chlorine? Thanks!

Help! I did everything right! I exfoliated and shaved and moisturized 24 hours before my appointment. And my first rinse was only water! How do I even fix this

I naturally have strong body odor, and I just got my spray tan for my wedding

Hello, I just got my spray tan for my wedding and I naturally have strong body odor. Obviously I can’t use any deodorant and I’m not allowed to shower with soap until 10 AM tomorrow. I won’t be able to shower then because I am going to breakfast/brunch with people who have flown in for the wedding I have no idea what to do for my body odor. It’s mainly my armpits. Sorry for the gross details.

Mix

Does anyone use Mix sunless in their salons? I’d love some honest reviews and thoughts. Their marketing is top tier and the creator used to post really great videos on different solutions, so I know she knows her stuff. But the products I feel I'm not actually hearing feedback on.. it just feels like one big ad when on their socials.

Thinking about getting my first spray tan

I’ve never had a spray tan before, I’ve just used at home foams and mouses and all that good stuff. I live in a pretty small town and the only spray tanning around me is at Zoom Tanning. I am TERRIFIED of looking crazy. Should I avoid this or go full send?

Any tips/tricks/advice please!!!

what day should i get my tan?

So I have never gotten a spray tan before but I want to get one before a wedding that I have coming up in a couple of weeks. The wedding is on Saturday. I know you should get it done a couple of days before but I am trying to figure out which day is better. I am a student and have classes all day most days. My plan is to go to a PBT and do one of their machine tans. My options are the week of the wedding:

Thursday evening (however I have a lab on Friday that i usually get pretty sweaty during but i’m not sure if that will be a problem by then)

Wednesday evening (I think this would probably be better for me but I have been told that 2 days before the event is better so I worry that it won’t look as good by Saturday)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I have been getting conflicted answers from my friends/family so thought I would come to reddit. Sorry if this is a dumb question I have never fake tanned before and just don’t want to look stupid.

SO TIRED OF SCRUBBING

Honestly I am so over this constant cycle of tanning, looking fab for 4/5 days, having bizarre patches particularly round my neck, scrubbing and then reapplying. IT IS SO BORING!

I’m based in the UK and have been using fake tan for years and years, I’m a natural red head and very fair skinned.

Can anyone recommend anything that will make this easier! I use the rose and caramel tan eraser and that has made it easier but is there anything that doesn’t go weird and patchy? I haven’t tried gradual tan moisturiser is that any better?

Please help xx

PSA: bug spray

I recently went to Costa Rica and had a beautiful spray tan by my favorite artist in town. Costa Rica is the rain forest and bugs like to bite me so I covered myself in deet based bug spray any chance I got, which was a lot. On like day 2 I started wondering why my spray tan looked so bad. It was coming off in heaps which is definitely not how it normally behaves. I just thought it was a bad spray tan and was contemplating my love for spray tans. But then a quick google search told me my bug spray had been breaking down the DHA and making my tan splotchy. So sad! Anyway, Google suggested spraying on your clothes and not directly on your skin. Or doing the spritz and walk through method. I’ve been spray tanning for many years and had no idea this could happen so I thought I’d share!

Self Tan That Doesn’t Smell

I’m very pale and like to self tan often in the summer, however, I can’t stand to smell like self tanner after I’ve rinsed it off. I am totally fine with the tan smell during the initial application but I do not want to smell like it for days after. I used to use tanologist and noticed a minimal smell after the initial rinse but didn’t get the best color. Recently I’ve loved the color I get from b. tan express mousse but I feel like I smell like self tanner for days after and I hate it. Is there a brand that leaves a dark and natural color without that gross smell?

Benzoyl peroxide in panoxyl

Hey guys!

Just got a spray tan for prom and I’m unsure if I can use a specific acne body wash from panoxyl. I use the 10% version and I know it has bleaching elements so I am unsure if it’s going to take the spray tan off of my back. ADDITIONALLY,
will a salicylic acid body spray also take the color off of my back?

Thank you all
