Campaign Questions

Hey folks-

I'm looking into offering another long-term campaign on SPG soon. I was planning on doing Icewind Dale because I'm stoked about it, but then I looked to see if there were already many campaigns of that available and I saw A LOT. Is there anything in particular you all as players would like to see, or is there anything fellow DMs have noticed in terms of what campaigns are in demand, what's oversaturated, what helps draw players (content-wise, not ad copy-wise), etc.?

Thanks!

[Online][EST][Other] Thursday7:00 PM Game Pitches for 3-6 people

Hello, I am a gm who would like to run a game online with several options depending on which would be the most popular with interested. Below are the ideas that I currently have and I am interested in what people want to do.

--------------------------------------------

Idea: The Land of Bidarrat and those who live there

Concept: The players will play as anthropomorphic woodland creatures in a similar fashion to Redwall or Despereaux. Humans exist in this world in a similar capacity to Giants or Fey. Engage with the world and deal with factions, in hopes that terrible things do not happen

Pitch: There are many players throughout the land of Bidarrat, such as the Duchy of Titania to the north, the earldom of Three Claws to the west, and for our story, the eastern duchy of Spalanx. The royal house is currently in a grand panic after the disappearance of the Duke Arneaux’s only daughter, Adeline. Apparently, there has been a ransom note left behind stating that whoever has stolen her has taken her far west, possibly into the land of the Titans, and will only let her go if given a grand ransom. Given this predicament, the duke has chosen you due to some renown you possess in your fields as adventurers to free her. Your mission should you choose to accept it, quite lucrative for you if you do, find the duke’s daughter and return her home safe and sound.

System: Either Legend in the Mist or Fabula Ultima, I am open to suggestions

--------------------------------------------

Idea: Into the Other Side

Concept: Normal kids from our world are flung into a world of magic beyond their beliefs and are made heroes, all the while dealing with their own issues and trying to find a way home.

Pitch: One minute you were just a normal person living a normal life. The next, you’ve found yourself in some other place with creatures that you’ve never seen before. Fortunately or unfortunately for you, you can see that there are others like you with you who seem fairly well armed. Regardless of this normality or lack thereof, you can see that that these creatures can be both hostile and dear to you, and the only way forward appears to fight forth. Will this world change you? Will you change it? Only time will tell, really.

System: Fate, Legend in the Mist, or another fantasy system that would work

--------------------------------------------

Idea: Claim the Throne of Heaven

Concept: All of the gods for one reason or another have lost their divine status, being dead, missing, or simply mortal. Players will take on the roles of several people with the potential to become new gods, encountering the other people with potential

Pitch: It started with smaller things. Perhaps the trees were losing leaves too early, or maybe the moon was oddly colored. Then the signs were unignorable. The oceans fell and rose like mad. The mountains started to break apart. Stars started to blink in and out of existence. The world had seemed to fall into utter chaos. Then, you found it. A small gem on the ground. When you picked it up, it shattered, and you heard a voice:

”The gods you know are long gone child, and so is their creation. Will you stand in this husk, or will you build a brave new world?”

So far, you’ve found each other, and given your shared experiences, you’ve decided it best to travel together to figure out what happens next, and what to is brave new world is to become.

System: Pathfinder 2e was intended, but other systems can be discussed

--------------------------------------------

Idea: A New World of Monsters and Men

Concept: Everyone has been mutated into mutant monsters after the detonation of a Gene Bomb, and now the players need to figure out how to adjust society

Pitch: The past 48 hours have been an overall negative experience for you. With a sudden flash of light, you saw you and everyone in the room you were in turned into mutants and monsters. You've encountered mutated animal men, demon looking people, creatures of mythology and legend, and that one guy that you would rather not touch. In all the chaos society has all but collapsed. But you can't. If you want to find a way out, you need to stay calm and put the pieces back together. If anything, this is a whole new world.

System: Fabula Ultima, but other systems could work if people have strong thoughts

--------------------------------------------

Idea: Thorntansel Magic Academy

Concept: You play as students at a magic/adventurers academy. Things start out fairly normal until you start solving some interesting mysteries

Pitch: You have finally been able to get into the Illustrious Thorntansel Magic Academy, one of the if not the best magical academy in the world. You have started attending your classes and are planning to look to the future. However, things in the school seem a bit off. Your teachers seem a bit too polished. You have odd questions about magic that seem to not add up. What was that whirring noise? Something in this school is happening, many things perhaps, and you're gonna get to the bottom of it.

System: Pathfinder 2e, Fabula Ultima, Kids on Brooms, or any other High Fantasy system that the players would be interested in

--------------------------------------------

Idea: An Adventure you Make

Concept: A Shonen Anime Style campaign that the players get to design in terms of it's power system, world, and plot

Pitch: People have been wanting to make action series as long as we have been telling stories about fights and combats. See interesting people do interesting things with their interesting powers. Once more, it's time to pick up the pen and start scribing these down. You will be responsible for creating this world, and you shall fill it with what ever it needs to satisfy your fancies. Are you ready? Then let's go.

System: Panic at the Dojo, Cloudbreaker Alliance, Valor, Fabula Ultima, or any other system wanted depending on the power system developed

--------------------------------------------

Idea: Legend of the Goddesses

Concept: A Legend of Zelda Campaign

Pitch: Throughout history, there have always been heroes. From the first time a hero ever descended from the heavens to smite the Demon King, heroes have gone through time, deep into twilight, across the windy seas, and even into the sky. You might not be a legendary hero or an inheritor of the blood of a goddess, but that's not going to stop you.

System: Pathfinder 2e using Paths of Hyrule or The Legend of Zelda: Reclaim the Wild

--------------------------------------------

If any of these campaign ideas work for you and you can meet at Thursday 7:00 PM, dm me with the campaign(s) that work for you. You can also reach me on discord at myberries9534

Start playing aggressively removing bad reviews?

Left a campaign due to GM being super inconsistent with character stats (one moment we’re saving someone from goblins, next moment in an honor duel he’s flying away with 200 hp and a spirit griffin summon)…When I left a review it was reported and removed. First review described the full situation, second review was more brief and about inconsistencies and my rating. That got removed. I left a review on trust pilot and they tried to report it multiple times but trust pilot was like nahhh, seems totally valid.

So…are the reviews totally rigged? or what?

About the adventure

You are a noble predator, a sensual monster, a philosopher of murder: a vampire. You wake up every night hungry for human blood, not a single day older than the day you died. You walk among the human herd and they pass you by, unaware of the danger they are in. You hunt, you feed, and sometimes, you kill.

Misery loves company, they say. There are other monsters in the dark, hungry like you, but different in their particular brand of horror. The All Night Society beckons you to commune with them, to hunt with them, but they ask you so much in return: the very thing that makes you still human maybe, or perhaps another sin for their sinister bucket list.

From the raucous parades of Mardi Gras to the quiet power of the board room, New Orleans has something for everyone, provided you're willing to pay the price. Money, power, entertainment, lust... Even immortality.

What does your heart desire?

As one of the Damned, you belong to one of the five ancient Clans of vampires, each afflicted with a particular strain of the vampiric curse. You may also join one of the five Covenants of the Kindred, dark societies and blasphemous philosophies for the undead that can help you cope with the reality of your unnatural existence.

The French Quarter of New Orleans will be the main scenario for this chronicle. Among the many dangers of gothic New Orleans, you will:

🩸 Hunt down rogue vampires that defy the rule of the Prince with their unspeakable acts!

🩸 Navigate the cutthroat politics of the Kindred at Elysium gatherings.

🩸 Curse your enemies with dark sorceries born of blasphemy and blood.

🩸 Explore the supernatural mysteries of the bayous, inhabited by shapechanging devils and horrible hauntings.

🩸 Evade the pursuit of monster hunters that see you as their rightful prey.

🩸 Protect your precious loved ones from the depredations of your fellow monsters... and of yourself.
