Any Type 2 Diabetics Currently Taking Ozempic?

Folks:

Are there any Type 2 diabetics who are currently taking Ozempic or who have previously taken Ozempic who might be willing to chat about their experience? Or any other GLPs? I would just like to pick some brains to see how their experiences are going compared to mine.

Thanks.

Person from an island navigating the big east coast !

Hi - can anybody offer some advice on the route from Richmond Virginia to State College? I see the fastest route goes through Washington DC but it does make me wonder if that’s necessarily true. It is a big city with big traffic. But if I was going to attempt that route, when would be the best time to try to drive through the Washington DC area? 10 AM to 11 AM I’m thinking as when we would be going through that area.

There’s two other routes that are being offered one goes through Harrisburg via the 81 to the 99.

The other route is the 95 to Fredericksburg then the 66 to the 99 it looks like.

I would love some advice. I don’t want to drive windy mountain roads if I don’t have too. I don’t mind some of that but don’t want to do that for 4 hours .. I am a wkman traveling with my teenaged son so would like to stick with more heavily traveled roads.

I appreciate anything that anybody can tell me. We are going there to look at Penn State..

Yearning for house music

I grew up a local and just lived in Pittsburgh for 10 years. There’s a good selection of underground house music there and I’m wondering if there’s anything around here? My partner and I love it and need to go blow off some steam! Somewhere people are actually dancing and vibing! None of this standing around on our phones shit! We are in our 30’s haha

New to the area - where to be social

Hi! I am new to the area, F21. I will be here for a few months and am looking to find places to connect with people? I enjoy reading, trivia nights, knitting, fun random experiences and hiking but due to not being familiar with the area hiking doesn't seem the best idea to do it alone.

Recommendations for Phone Repair in State College?

Hi! Looking to see if anyone has had a good experience with any of the phone repair places beyond just a screen repair.

I have a Pixel 7A that is having some major software issues. I'd like to bring it in to have it looked at, but sometimes I feel these dime-a-dozen phone repair shops can be a bit sketchy. So if anyone has any recs, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Cheap oil change?

Hi hi! I’ve lived in state college for quite a few years now and I’ve been going to Valvoline to get my oil changed but it’s been getting a bit too pricey for me. Any recommendations on the cheapest place to get an oil change? Thanks!

T mobile 5G home internet - worth the switch?

I looked at a previous post in this sub but it was 2 years ago. I’ll be moving to Toftrees area and was wondering if I should completely switch over to T-mobile phone and internet. My xfinity discounts for phone and internet are now significantly less since it’s been over a year. Household would be 2 young professionals. Any opinions are appreciated!

Upcoming Craft Fair or Markets

I am looking to join some local craft fairs or markets to sell my crochet items. Any recommendations for local fairs or markets to look into? I'm okay with small church, school, or neighborhood events as well. It's difficult to find these smaller events online. I've only seen events for the big Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, but the application deadline has passed and I'm looking for smaller events within 1 hour of the State College area. TIA!

So sad. I made so many friends there and it's my favorite exercise. Hope we could still do something about it.

Manna Korean BBQ and Hotpot

Just had lunch at Manna in Westerly Parkway. If you’re not familiar with Korean BBQ it’s all you can eat and you select from a menu of meats and seafood which you grill yourself on the grill built into your table.

It was a very enjoyable lunch. The ingredients were very fresh and the service was prompt and friendly. If it’s your first visit they’ll grill the food for you otherwise you do it yourself.

They have a large bar of sauces which you create your own flavor which you can dip the food in.

They’ll bring 2 or 3 types of food and you can order anything as many times as you like. Most food takes just a few min to cook.

They also have a big selection of fruit drinks and boba teas. I had plain iced tea.

The grill has a very strong exhaust fan right over the grill so no smoke or even any smell. My clothes didn’t pickup any odor (compare that to eating at Green Bowl where I have to wash my clothes after).

The restaurant almost has hot pot which they also have an extensive list of soups and a bar of hotpot additions. You can have both for $5 extra.

They have a kimchi bar and a desert bar both included in the price. Most ingredients they have a spicy and plain version.

Specifically I had pork belly, bulgogi, chicken, beef belly, squid, octopus, shrimp and an assortment of veg. I was very satisfied and it was a good value I felt. They ask you stay a maximum of 2 hrs.

Highly recommended. It was quiet at noon at very busy starting at 1. Haven’t had dinner yet which is a little more expensive but they up the.variety to include ribeye and such.

Anyone remember this place?

I’m hoping to connect with folks who remember this place and would be willing to share stories or favorite memories about it. My spouse’s great-grandfather owned the restaurant, and she has many fond childhood memories tied to it. I’d love to share any comments or recollections with her — it would absolutely make her day!

Several states have offered subsidies to residents forced off the ACA by the termination of federal assistance. Plus, the US House passed a bipartisan 3 year extension of the subsidies, which is now sitting in the Senate.

Do you need help with your Pennie premiums or support more help with affordability for PA families.
