Been seeing more and more 26 test runs up the Carbondale. Reddit will only let me upload 1 video apparently, but this one was the latest, caught yesterday with a couple of RJD guys in the cab.
After the run, the shop guys noticed a leak from the steam chest, and found it was a few copper rings that caused it, so took today and presumably tommorrow to fix it, but nothing too major to hinder the rest of the season.
I wish Steamtown was still in Bellows Falls, but Scranton is best suited for it.
Due to unplanned maintenance, Baldwin 26 will be replaced with NKP 514 for tomorrow’s train. All other information remains the same. Steamtown is operating a train with GP9 514 to Carbondale to support the Craft Fair and Marketplace. Train leaves Steamtown at 10:00!
