Dylan Larkin talk in Detroit.

I live in Windsor so I listen to alot of Detroit sports talk radio. Adam said on yesterday's show that Detroit fans are melting down about this Larkin story (something along those lines, paraphrasing). Let me assure you, that is not the case. I work midnights and I was driving home Monday morning and guess what the topic was? The first weekday his trade list was public. "What athlete were you wrong about? You either thought they were good and were bad or vice versa". Guess who the host lead with? "Toronto fans were all wrong about Mitch Marner". Your team has missed the playoffs 10 years in a row, you've blown your season 3 years in a row in March and your captain and best player just demanded a trade...and you want to talk about Marner and leafs fans? Gtfoh. I honestly hate being a leafs fan. Between the underperforming team and trash like this, I just want to scream. At every turn, its leafs this or leafs that. No one makes Toronto the centre of the hockey universe more than other teams fans and haters.

Yay I did a thing

I got Ray Bourque first, then Brodeur, then Gretzky so I know it would be close.

Honestly the second one is funnier. I have Chris Pronger and Chris Pronger on defence. I am certain there are other players you can choose twice but I haven't seen another yet.

[Dreger] The Oilers are consulting with the NHLPA to see if there are objections that must be resolved before potentially hiring former Leafs & CBJ coach Mike Babcock.

I did it!

I went 0-84 (LOTTERY BOUND) in 84-0 NHL All-Time Undefeated!

LW: Lex Chisholm (Maple Leafs 1940s, 52 OVR)

C: Murray Costello (Blackhawks 1950s, 52 OVR)

RW: Jordy Douglas (Whalers 1970s, 65 OVR)

LD: Greg de Vries (Avalanche 1990s, 60 OVR)

RD: Andrew Campbell (Coyotes 2010s, 57 OVR)

G: Daniil Tarasov (Panthers 2020s, 72 OVR)

Beat my record → https://draftprospectshockey.com/84-0

Took me about half a dozen tries but I managed to beat it!

Wait...

I was supposed to go 84-0?!

Finally got one.

I feel like I had better teams on paper before this one, but it's also the first time I got Hasek, so maybe he was the key piece.

Got 83-1 HHOOOWWW? (84-0game)

Game played during intermissions this stream. I am baffled how this did not go the full 84. I guess Orr ain't good enough from what I assumed the colors mean

Toronto media driving players out of town

The whole narrative around Toronto media being the ones driving players out of town is a lazy take, but man it strikes a nerve with the pod and this sub. I think part of why it keeps being brought up is because of how people react to that take. Don’t give the trolls what they want!

Adam and Freddie

I missed the Golden Lining episode and WOW Adam. His hatred for Freddie Andersen is actually unbelievable. Yes, the defense in front of him has been great but so has he! I get Freddie didn’t show up like this for Toronto but Freddie didn’t have this support in Toronto.

Are the guys friendly with the Spittin Chiclets crew?

I know Steve's done some charity games with Colby Armstrong, but they seem to steer clear of any mention of them.

Fun Times With Mitch Marner

With the Vegas Knights advancing to their 4th Stanley Cup appearance, let’s look back to how former Leafs player Mitch Marner been doing.

As a member of the Knights, Marner has won 12 playoff games in his sole season with the knights. The most playoff games he ever won with the Leafs in a single playoff run was 7.

This will be Mitch’s first Stanley Cup series he will be appearing in. He joins the ranks of numerous former Leafs who went to the Stanley Cup upon being traded away or allowed to walk in free agency. This includes but is not limited to Phil Kessel, Nazem Kadri, and Lanny McDonald.

in the nine years the Knights have been an active team, they have appeared in 3 Stanley Cup finals rounds with an incoming 4th. The Leafs have not even been in the finals since 1967.

Marner has a 13 +\- rating in the playoffs. The largest +\- rating he accumulated in a single playoff year with the leafs was 7.

Marner has 21 playoff points this year. That exceeds any of the playoff runs he had with the leafs.
