18 (female) and missed freshman activities because I arrived late. Are there any activities at ELTE or some hang out spots to meet people. I know this sounds ridiculous but making friends abroad is seeming harder than I thought. I would love some girlies to hang with sometime

I’m planning to apply for the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship, which opens next month.
I would prefer to study in an English taught program, but taking the IELTS before the application deadline is basically impossible for me because I don’t have enough time.
So I’m considering applying for a Hungarian-taught program with the one year Hungarian language preparatory course instead.
Do you think this is a good option? Has anyone actually done the Hungarian preparatory year and then continued their degree in Hungarian?
I’d really appreciate some real experiences and advice!
