i have to take a choice but I don't know which one is better

hi good afternoon I'm from Colombia (17M) and I'm trying to study abroad, firstly for my undergraduate,I'm currently planning to apply to the MEXT scholarship (Japan) next year, but the thing is that I didn't pass this year's attempt, I was thinking in applying to the Hungarian University scholarship that is available for Colombians on many many countries, so i do my undergraduate in Hungary and the postgraduate in Japan, the thing is that I want to live in Japan and I want to make all my studies there but I think that it may be quite difficult, and if i dont pass the next attempt I think that I will try to apply for the Hungarian scholarship is it worth it? or i should try to study in my own country (but without a job because the Bogota's national university is quite difficult), and then try the mext scholarship for the posgraduate, the career i want to study is mechanical engineering focused in hydrogen combustion

Applying next cycle, need advice

So I'm planning to apply for SH next year, and I'm thinking about applying to either chemical engineering/chemistry in BME/Debrecen. I'm honestly not sure if my profile is competitive enough. I have an 89.55/100 gpa, with my individual semester grade ranging from 88-92. I have a band 8.0 IELTS. No remarkable ECs. I have a friend who applied this year and got rejected from the scholarship, but he did get accepted to ELTE for CS, and he had grades around mine but better ECs. So I'm kinda worried whether my profile fits for the scholarship. What do y'all think? Any piece of thought would be helpful. Btw, I'm from Indonesia. Thanks.

BME dorm application

I recently got my acceptance letter from BME (BSc in mechanical engineering). As soon as i got my neptun login information i completed the set up for both neptun and kefir. but I am not seeing any way to apply for dorm at kefir. The dorm application for 26/27 year haven't open or I am doing something wrong?

Another thing, have anyone received letter of award from tempus foundation?

Looking for photos and experiences of the Erdős Pál Dormitory

Hi everyone!

I’m an incoming international student who has recently been awarded the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship. I’ll be starting my MSc in Computer Science at the Faculty of Informatics, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) this autumn.

I was recently assigned to Erdős Pál Dormitory, and I’m trying to learn more about it before arriving in Budapest.

I have a few questions and would really appreciate it if anyone could share their experience:

  • Does anyone have photos of the 3-person rooms? I’ve only been able to find a few official photos online, but none clearly show the triple rooms.
  • How is the overall living experience? (Room size, bathrooms, kitchens, internet, cleanliness, noise level, etc.)
  • How convenient is the daily commute to the Faculty of Informatics? How long does it usually take during weekdays?
  • Is there anything you wish you had known before moving into the dorm?

Any photos, tips, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much in advance, and I’m looking forward to studying at ELTE and meeting everyone!

Admitted to BME for BSc Physics 2026 intake — let's connect!

Hey everyone! I was admitted to BME for BSc Physics (Fall 2026). Is there anyone else here who's starting this year? I was thinking it could be helpful to create a group chat (in Telegram, for example) to share updates on visa stuff, accommodation (maybe we can get to know each other and find a roommate?), enrolment, and stay in touch before the semester starts. If one already exists, please add me! Otherwise, drop a comment or DM me, and I'll set one up.

Hey everyone

I just got accepted for Agricultural Engineering at the University of Nyiregyhaza. I am coming from Turkey and its going to be my first year.

Is there anyone else heading to Nyiregyhaza this semester, or maybe students already studying there I am trying to find some group chats to connect with people before I arrive.

Also, I could really use some tips on the best way to travel from Budapest Airport to Nyíregyháza with heavy luggage, and how the overall student life is over there. Please hit me up or drop a comment if you are in the same boat or know anything about the city.
