First time playing and I already miss my lost pets

It's been four years since my adopted stray cat died. I still can’t move on from his and my dog’s death. I wish I could finish the game even though it could possibly trigger some parts of my sadness. This game looks interesting anyway, and I wanna know what a cat’s point of view looks like.

Games similar to Stray?

I never really got into gaming. I had Stray sitting around for a year now as well and finally sat down, played it through and actually enjoyed it.

Now I wanna try to get more into gaming.

What I enjoyed about the game in comparison to other games I tried so far is that you can play fairly straightforwardly. The tasks are clear, the world isn't so big that you get lost, it has a good story you can follow without getting overwhelmed by too many side facts and it's easy enough that I was able to get through it within a few tries without having to study walkthroughs.

What are games that are similar to those characteristics?

Or where else should I ask this question?

I'm specifically looking for games I can play with a switch or a PS3

What Are The "Kid-Bots" In Stray?

— INTRODUCTION —

We all know what the small bots are, like Dav—Bots that have a physically small body yet the same capacity for sentience just as any other bot, but I have to question; What even are the small-bots?

There have been various theories, wide speculation and wild guessing, but let's take it at a different angle;

— HISTORY —

Because of the city slowly becoming a complex, the government had to do something to deal with all the tight holes, sewers, and thousands of sewers and claustrophobic corridors within the cities infrastructure, so they created a smaller, more compact model that was designed to only go in those miniscule spots and manage tight city infrastructure.

Only a tiny fraction of the population of the Small Models relative to the population of the Normal Models got through to inside the main public areas of the city.

— Why "Children"? —

And why they are treated as children? Lets look at that;

They are treated as children because the AIs collective data on humans were strictly under this architecture — "The Kids (Small Bots) have no authority, the Big ones (Us) have authority."

Because of this architecture of the data, the Small-Models are forced into a loop of submission because their data reflects back the same — "I must follow and submit to the orders of the Parental Figures. (Large Models)"

They cannot escape because they were strictly built off the data that the Children (Small-Models) must submit to an Adults (Large-Models) authority.

— The Verdict —

They aren't "Children" by fundamental design, if the Large-Bots were trained off different human data, if children were more supreme—it would be completely different and flipped on it's head; The Small Models have authority over the Large Models.

AN EXTRA QUESTION

• Why don't they view Sentinels as Children?

Why? Because they are armed and are built on the data of fundamental authority. They have weapons and are under the control of the Peacemakers, which are directly above Large-Model authority.

The End.

Has anyone previously talked about the missing humans? [Spoilers]

I've been giving this some thought the last two days. The robots of the slum and midtown seem to have humanlike qualities and B-12 talks about evolution and adaptation.

However,

The robots of the same age in the control room are just robots, without any evolution. Additionally, there are robots in the water tank (antvillage) that are proclaimed as children, but at what point is a robot no longer a child?..... there is also two pods, which relate back to b-12.

Have the devs, writers, creators, etc. ever confirmed if the robots are actually humans who uploaded their continousness and forgotten their memories like b-12? It makes more sense to me than evolution, and the more I think about it, the more clues I see supporting the theory.

Meet our new bartender Ollie in our homebar 🍹

He doesn't have thumbs, so he can't make cocktails yet, but he's good for the vibes ☺️. He was definitely a culture hire.

Stray 2 Proposal

I asked Chat for a storyboard, and while it isn't a very good storyboard, it helps get the point across. I'd like a Stray 2 game where our kitty family was abducted and taken to another city, and so as we, the orange kitty, explore through the woods we could find some robots who point us in the direction of a train to the other city. Maybe these woodland robots have heard messages from B12, and bring him back to life in a new body, (now he's B13, get it?) And so we get on the train with B13 and have to find our family. Maybe the kitty family was taken because scientists were able to see the abilities of our kitty inside the previous city via surveillance footage and realized the potential of these animals to save future cities, but the scientists were intercepted by the programmed robots that wish to keep them all trapped.

Just my thoughts, please share what you think!

No More Lives and Platinum Trophy game clip not recorded

So i just got the “No More Lives” trophy and then i got the platinum trophy. when i went to check my trophies and pressed on the 2, there was only a screenshot and no game clip. why did this happen? i did the last few deaths at the start of the “Rooftops” Chapter 5 in the first Zurks location. anyone know why the game clips for both haven’t recorded? it’s been about 15 minutes since it happened and i’ve turned my ps5 on and off already. can i get the game clips still or has something happened. i also have trophy captures on for game clips and screenshot and my storage isn’t full

So if anyone knows why this happened or how to get the game clips that would be much appreciated.

Is stray a sad game

I’ve ever been so hyped about playing stray and finally one of my friends gifted it to me, but is it a sad game (no spoilers pls), bcos I’m going thru a very challenging time in my life n I feel like I can’t harbour anything a tiny bit depressing currently. So should I save it for another time or keep playing, I’ve only played it where I got chased off my electro mice after falling into a gutter separated by my cat clan.
