Just admitted (housing, naturally)

One thing I haven't found regarding housing is whether there's a site for people looking for housemates or looking to be considered as a housemate. Does that exist, and would it be a safe option for someone who won't be in country until early August?

university of groningen- psychology

i havent finished highschool yet (3 yrs in Greece) i js finished year 2 and im going for year 3 but i had 13/20 gpa in year 1 and 2 WITH the exams (abt 14-15.5 without) which is average, i always was interested and loved psychology but i thought i couldnt do it and my only choice would be studying in my country and nothing else so i did some mistakes back then like i not paying attention at all in school no homework no heavy studying if anything js listening and rarely studying bc GR school system is BS and i didnt wanna participate in finals which get u to uni. in y3 many teachers grade many students way higher to help (ones that dont even do work bc theyre not interested) and they get like 16/20 so its not THAT hard. although im willing to study to get my gpa higher (around 19). should i try? will i even be considered for selection? ive heard that selection matters more than grades but im still stressed and doubting theyd even consider me. I also heard they ask to see grades when u apply (which would be basically mid 3rd year) where i wouldn’t have gotten the 3rd year’s grades which stresses me out even more since i did bad even if y3 was good.

[LOST Item] Black Tote Bag with Orange Graffiti - Dropped on biking route (Forum -> Social Hub -> Upsilon). Important Student ID & SD Card inside! (Will buy you a coffee/beer! ☕️🍻)🐱

Hi everyone, I know this is a long shot, but I am getting quite desperate. (Also, please enjoy the accidental cat tax in the photo—it's the best picture I have showing the bag's design!)

Last Thursday night (May 28the) between 22:30 and 23:30, I lost my black tote bag while riding my bike.

📍 The Route: I rode from Forum Groningen (Binnenstad) to The Social Hub (Boterdiep), and then finally back to Upsilon (Antaresstraat). It most likely dropped somewhere along this route, or somewhere in the social hub ground floor lobby....

🎒 The Bag: It’s a black fabric tote with VERY prominent orange graffiti-style letters on both sides. (See photos).

MY LOST TOTE BAG (THE ONE NEXT THE CUTE CAT)

📦 What's Inside:

  • Black Bottega Veneta (BV) wallet.
  • UK Student ID (Essex University - T.P. H).
  • 256GB Memory Card (in the coin pocket) - This is what I care about the most!
  • Black case with two pairs of earphones.
  • Bank cards (all frozen now) & some british pounds cash.

🚨 The Reward: I am a student, so while I can't offer a massive cash reward, I would gladly buy you a coffee, a beer, or a drink of your choice if you can return it to me! I just desperately need my Student ID, the memory card, and the bag itself back. It would mean the world to me.

If anyone has seen it or handed it in anywhere, please send me a DM. Upvotes for visibility are highly appreciated. Thank you so much for reading!thethe

Xior Housing Groningen Eendrachtskade

Hi everyone, I am starting my master's programme in Groningen this September and am currently looking for housing. I was able to find an available room in Xior Housing in the Eendrachtskade building, they secured my place for now and will send me a contract to sign shortly. I thought it was ideal, a furnished, nice-looking studio for students, and also super close to my faculty. However after doing some digging I came across some really bad reviews both here on reddit and on websites like Trustpilot. I know it is super difficult to find housing in Groningen, and if I have a place secured I should just go with it, but these reviews left me feeling super conflicted and I do not know what to do.

If anyone has lived in the Eendrachtskade building specifically, I would really appreciate it if you could help me out and let me know about your experience and whether you'd recommend it or not. Thanks so much!

Hey, is Hanze's bachelor's in finance and control good? And is the city good for students, like compared to major cities, how is it for part-time, internships, lifestyle, content creation and rest
