Zoals de titel al zegt, ben ik op zoek naar leuke mensen in (de omgeving van) Groningen om mijn sociale kring een beetje uit te breiden!

Ik ben zelf 21, V en studeer HBO Verpleegkunde. Via mijn studie heb ik gelukkig al een aantal hele leuke vriendinnen leren kennen, maar het lijkt me gezellig om ook buiten mijn studie nieuwe mensen te ontmoeten. Ik merk alleen dat ik door een soms best drukke planning niet zo goed pas bij dingen waarbij je meteen iedere week ergens aan vastzit, zoals een studentenvereniging.

Even wat over mij: ik ben behoorlijk actief en ga regelmatig naar de sportschool, maar ik vind het net zo leuk om samen te koken, een terrasje te pakken, ergens koffie te drinken, te wandelen of gewoon gezellig ergens te kletsen. Daarnaast hou ik van creatieve dingen, lezen (voornamelijk Engelstalige boeken), nieuwe dingen leren en reizen. Ik vind het ook leuk om nieuwe dingen uit te proberen, dus ik sta zeker open voor ideeën!

Het lijkt me vooral leuk om mensen te leren kennen met wie je uiteindelijk gewoon spontaan kunt appen om iets te gaan doen.

Dus herken je jezelf hierin en ben je ook op zoek naar nieuwe mensen in Groningen? Stuur me gerust een berichtje! Wie weet kunnen we een keer iets gezelligs afspreken. :)

En mocht er genoeg animo zijn, lijkt het me trouwens ook leuk om met een klein groepje iets te organiseren!

Voor Dagblad van het Noorden zoek ik studenten die vanwege de kamernood dit jaar bij hun ouders blijven wonen en heen en weer reizen, een kamer huren buiten de stad (in Assen of Hoogezand bijvoorbeeld) of heel veel geld betalen (650+). Unfortunately, due to my idiocy, the flat I was looking at got taken by someone else. I was waiting for someone to replace my accomodation in my home uni as I'm going on a year abroad to Groningen but it seems I played my cards wrong.

Where can I get a house/flat this late? I hear a lot of people saying its rough but which websites should I use and which to avoid?

Hi! I’m currently 11 places away from getting an offer for Mondzorgkunde.
I’m quite confident I’ll get in, but I’m still waiting for the final result.
Since it’s already 15 August, should I start looking for a room now or wait until I’m officially admitted?
I currently live with my family in The Hague, so I would need to move to Groningen if I get in.
Is it still realistic to find a room for late August/September? And are there any temporary options if I don’t find a permanent room immediately?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! ❤️

Hoi, ik wil volgend schooljaar (september 2027) beginnen met een studie in Groningen. Ik zou alleen nu al vast in Groningen willen wonen, en dan dus volgend jaar pas beginnen met de studie. Ik ben dan opzoek naar een studio (of kamer/appartement, zolang het een eigen wc/douche/keuken heeft). Nou is mijn vraag of zoiets te regelen valt als ik nog geen student ben. Ik doe Youtube als baan, dus ik heb geen standaard vast inkomen. Ik heb wel al een hoop gespaard. Maakt dit uit? En hebben jullie tips waar ik het best kan gaan zoeken? Bedankt!

I’m starting my first semester of International and European Law at the University of Groningen, and I’m currently ordering my course materials.

For one of my courses, the university provides “readers” containing the required material. I can choose between a digital reader and a physical printed copy.

I’m genuinely not sure which I’d prefer, since I’ve never really studied from this kind of law reader before.

The digital version for all three readers would cost €57.76 total, while the physical versions would be €62.25 total, so the difference is only about €4.50.

I’ll have a laptop, and potentially a tablet, so digital is definitely an option. I’m mainly wondering what is actually more practical for studying law.

For those studying law: do you prefer digital or physical course readers, and why? Would you recommend getting these particular readers physically, or going digital?

Hey everyone, i truly have lost basically all hope in finding a place in groningen for my study. I am close to coming to terms to becoming homeless but im truly not made for that lifestyle. I would honestly take anything, preferably in the center, but hey, who the hell am i to be picky rn. However im sure someone, SOMEONE, has a friggin room or apartment and it just not seeing this. Listen, i’m really nice, funny, and will pay for your dinner if you help me find a space to live in. I am an AMAZING candidate and will be an awesome roommate or housemate or whatever. Halo. My name is Philip and I am a 27 y/o working student. I compete in muay thai and work as a personal trainer. For my hobby I play guitar and read. I am an honest hard worker and sociable person.

I have been offered a place in the Hanze University Physiotherapy course which is my dream course in my dream location. I am trying my best to make it work now but I am really strugling to find any accomodation. I want to get accomodation under 550 monthly and I need to be registered to the address so that I can open a bank account and receive the needed grants to support my education. I will also be working part time to support myself and I will be applying for the DUO grant.

I have used Kamernet to no success and I have used facebook but all I found was scammers. any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
