Not sure if a post like this is allowed, but any of you have ever had this happen before? I guess next time I should keep the little lid on top closed

Update:

Just a little more information for the people who are curious. Obviously I’m not touching the newly created mansion, and letting the new owner do its thing hahah.

Some were also wondering where this was taken, I live in the Netherlands. I think it’s a “blue tit” (but definitely correct me if I’m wrong).

Update 2:

I have been corrected, it’s a great tit.

Nest in the middle of my motorcycle training course

Nest plopped right in the middle of the course. Instructor had to put cones around to make sure the students don't run them over.

Bay Area CA, white released dove needs home

We're assuming she either escaped or was released at a wedding. Her leg band says "FTK 1275". Currently in Vallejo with no interest in leaving the shelter my friend set up. We are aware of the local rescues, but they're just going to need to find a home for her too. Anyone know of someone who can take this sweetheart in? She is too tame to survive out there.

Underneath a food truck

Just a single egg on the bricks underneath the food truck, spotted it when the mom moved away. This is a busy downtown plaza next to a light rail station.

In Naxos, Greece

been hearing mourning doves consistently since arriving. to be fair I didn’t see mama create this but I think this is a stupid dove nest :( in some sort of succulent/cactus???? there is no way for her to incubate this! it’s in a planter in front of our airbnb.

Solid build, but very precarious location.

She and her partner spent a full day building a nest on our windowsill under the air conditioning bracket. The next day there was one egg, the third day there was a second egg. Now it’s day 4 and she hasn’t left the nest for more than a couple seconds at a time to change positions. It’s a very small ledge so I’m not sure if this will end in tragedy or not.
