Beta Mini May preorders
Just checking in, has anyone here received their May preorder yet? I know, it’s not loud/not worth it/whatever, I ordered it before I got my actual Beta Lead.

Primarily (for now) the head will be used fkr bass practice with a band I'm in. Grundgy sludge stuff. Im looking for a cab i could use for guitar as well, an Ampeg would probably do it but im curious as to what others are using

John Joseph at DredgeTone (Olympia, WA) has been as prodigious as ever in 2026 including the four(!) latest pedals—three of which are limited run:
Sunn Beta Lead Preamp (10-12 units) – Sunn worshippers take note: a DT-modified Sunn Beta Lead preamp. The gain is absolutely incredible, as is the range of tones available from adjusting your guitar’s volume knob.
AmpLess Analog Amp Sim (about 15 units) – based on Tech21 SansAmp, with modern and inventive updates; low noise floor; excels at an OD amp sound (i.e. in a small room)
Angler Bass Overdrive – This pedal had something of a cult following back in the day. The new version adds a variable blend control and you get to choose your diodes. I know the Germanium (1N34A) diodes are the pinnacle for Klon’s but, given only one choice, I recommend the original silicon (1N4148 or 1N914) diodes for the Angler. The latter have a truly unique character that really cuts through a mix.
JFP 2026 - JFET Preamplifier (8-10 units) - A variable gain preamplifier pedal utilizing an ultra-low noise JFET as the amplifier element. The power requirements are 12V to 18V, with the additional headroom you’d expect at higher voltages.
Today, John told me that one of his next releases will be a fuzz/octave/swell combining the BOSS SG-1 Slow Gear and Foxx Tone Machine fuzz. I can’t wait.
Ok so i am running this into a 16ohm cab for right now and currently at band practice. Is it loud enough with this configuration for a really loud band of the sludge or metal kind? No. But it’s plenty loud for a regular/moderately loud band practice. It has a unique sustain that I am really digging. Also wow is this light! I’m happy with it especially for 600 bones.
Obviously a Sunn Coliseum Bass head but I can’t find much information about it online and was curious if anyone has seen these before? It currently powers on but doesn’t produce any sound when plugged in to the cabinet. When the instrument cable is plugged in and you tap the jack you can hear that, but nothing when the instrument itself is plugged in. I haven’t played it in years and I’m looking to sell it at this point. Any advice for repair if I decide to go that route?
Hello all, i've recently acquired a Sunn Sorado, and am curious as if anyone knows the date(ish) on it. Its got the original 6550 tubes but i cant find any dating stickers on them. Ive also read the grill cloth can identify but im not sure how to do that. I've attached all the pictures I have. Thank you!
Made another clip with the Beta Mini this time into 2x8'' ROSS Speaker Stack.
I ordered mine in early February for the May batch but didn't receive any news on shipping despite news of production catching up. I was wondering if that might have something to do with me living in Europe?
