OG Post: https://www.reddit.com/r/SydneySocial/s/wOTxPtp6Ou

\^\^ if you want reference to my OG post.

Thank you again to everyone who came and also the people who messaged me saying they were interested. We had 9 people show up and we had drinks, laughs and conversations.

Looking forward to the next one, which has changed from Thursday 9th to Friday 10th so we can let loose a little not worry about having to work the next day. Let me know if you’re interested. It’ll probably start around 6pm in the city (somewhere near town hall probably) but people can feel free to drop by and leave as they please :)

If you’re wondering what kind of people show up to these group hangs, everyone was super friendly and open. We were all chatting to each other, we had drinks and laughs and finished it off with having dinner at Henrietta’s.

If you came last night and see this, you can confirm my claim in the comments. :p

Looking for good restaurants in Sydney

Moved here a couple years back for uni and ended up just staying. Love the city, still figuring out the food scene though.

My taste is pretty simple. I like places that take what they do seriously. Good ingredients, honest cooking, decent atmosphere. Not looking for anything fancy, just somewhere that actually cares about the food.

Been to a few spots around the inner city and east. Tried attenzione food and wine a while back and enjoyed it. Italianleaning, solid wine list, good vibe. But I want to branch out now and try something different.

Not really sure where to look next. Google reviews feel unreliable half the time, so I've mostly been going in blind.

Anyone have spots they keep going back to? Doesn't have to be fancy, just good food and worth the trip.

Anyone want to see Obsession at the cinema? I’ve got semester break and some free time. 38F here, and I’m easygoing about who joins.

33 M. Anyone wanna meet up and hang out? Happy to meet 1-1 or in a small group.

Looking to expand my social circle. I’ve met quite a few people from here this year and it’s gone relatively well, so wanna continue that momentum and build a real friendship.

I’m down for anything from going to trivia, escape rooms, going for walks/hikes, going out for a drink/coffee/food (though the few times I’ve met up for drinks with people from here, I haven’t gotten home before 2am. 😂😂

For logistic purposes, I live in St. George area and I work in Parramatta twice a week. But happy to meet wherever that’s not super far from me. City is always good and convenient for everyone?

I’m happy to meet 1-1 or in a small group. I’ve done both and have been successful with both. Have built a small friend group with people from reddit and we’re very welcoming and new people are always welcome.

Just as a small FYI, I know it’s 2026 but gonna be transparent and say that I am a g4y man and I’m happy to meet anyone, but I know some people aren’t comfortable with that. So if that’s you, probably don’t reach out lol.

If you’ve met me, clarify that I’m not a serial killer. Kthx <3

Best Italian restaurants in Sydney for a group dinner?

I have some international friends visiting Sydney soon and I want to take them out for a proper Italian meal. I've been researching spots for a while and the only place I've actually tried so far is Dom Panino, checked out their menu and had a solid experience there, so that's already on the list. But I don't want to just bring them to one place without knowing what else the city has to offer.

Looking for recommendations that are a step above the average pasta spot, somewhere with good atmosphere and food that would actually impress people visiting from overseas. Doesn't have to be fine dining but I want it to feel like a real experience, not just a quick bite. Any hidden gems or wellknown spots worth booking in advance? Would love to hear what locals actually think is worth the visit.

I’m 33 m (9ay) btw. I’ve had some people message me and some are interested in meeting up on Tuesday at Parramatta after work, sometime between 5-6. Anyone is welcome to join. Just don’t be a creep please.

A few people have expressed interests. Both M/F, str8/not str8. So if you’re chill and open minded and wanna meet new people in the hopes of making some genuine friendships, send me a DM or drop a comment here.

Also have some people keen on a group meet up in the city on Thursday 9th July, so if you’re keen for that one, send me a DM or comment here as well, and I will message you details closer to the date! :)

Thank you again everyone and looking forward to meeting you.

Anyone want to go karting in Sydney this weekend?

Been thinking about trying go karts Sydney for a while now. Finally looked into it properly and found a few decent spots.

Don't know many people here yet so going alone feels like a waste. More people means more races, more fun, simple as that. Looking for maybe 35 people who are up for it. Doesn't matter if you've never done it before, not looking for ringers here, just people who want to have a good time.

Thinking Saturday afternoon but can shift to Sunday if that works better for more people. No strong preference either way.

Anyone keen? And if you've been to a karting place in Sydney before, which one would you actually recommend?

34M looking for friends

Hello hello, I moved to Sydney from Melbourne a few years ago where I did my masters and had a group of friends , however, here in Sydney , things are different as I have been just working and it’s hard to make friends as everyone is busy with their own lives , married with kids plus I wasn’t born and raised in Australia but been here for 10 years. I am single so for me it’s a bit different , the two , three friends I have here are also married so you just have to schedule a time to catch up. On weekends I’m usually by myself as everyone else is busy, so looking to find people in a similar situation, looking to hang out, go for walk or a hike etc. I work as a business analyst for an insurance company and outside work, I just go to the gym pretty much. If you also have ADHD that would be a plus as I have been diagnosed, so more to talk about 🙃 ( p.s I don’t drink).

25F looking for female friends

Hello! I’m a 25F who’s done her undergrad in the political sciences field and now doing a postgrad in policy. I enjoy a lot of peace, reading and journalling but recently thought it’d be nice to make new friends as someone who’s grown up here and don’t have opportunities to meet people outside the circle. I have a lot of freetime as I’m searching for a job and I want to have a girl bestie/besties who I can regularly talk to, hangout in cute cafes and bars, shop for fits, go to vinyl shops, try new hobbies (I used to do dancing), and do girl picnics!

Hmu if any of these interests align, would love to start chatting! Only interested in female friends, I have a boyfriend.

Looking for female friendship

28F I’m a fun loving nurse by profession, fitness enthusiast, lover of good food, music, dancing, fashion, coffee dates, spontaneous adventures, and finding beauty in everyday life.

I have friends, but many are occupied with partners, married, starting families, or simply in a different stage of life. As someone who is single and exploring self and discovery phase of life, I’ve realised it would be lovely to meet women who are in a similar season.

I’d love friendships where we can actually do things together, explore new places, go for walks, attend events, take weekend trips, support and share each other and create memories along the way.

If you’re looking for genuine friendship, good conversations, lots of laughs and someone to explore with, I’d love to connect 🤍
