24 Hour Food Recommendations

Good day. I work night shift and I would like some recommendations sa mga kan-anan na open 24 hours diri sa tagum. I usually cook my own food pero sometimes tinatamad ako. Napul-an nasad ta sa fastfood like Jollibee/McDo. Does anyone know any other restaurants that are open around 1:00-6:00 AM?

Vent out lang ko

Hello, it’s me again. Di man gud ko ka-post sa OffMyChest nor sa Rantvent ph kay bag-o pa akong account. Spare account ni nako; naa koy main pero nsfw accct siya, bsta mhibaw-an man gud na nsfw poster ka kay di ka seryosohon or di gni lustful kaayo sila.

I know some people might judge me for the things I post. Honestly, posting about myself became one of the ways I tried to build my confidence. Maybe it wasn’t the healthiest way, and deep down, I think I was also using it to escape reality for a while. But at the time, it was one of the few things that made me feel like I still had some control over myself.

Right now, though, I’m struggling with a lot more than I can explain. I’m unemployed. I’m trying to find work again, and hopefully soon, I can finally leave this place and start over somewhere else. Sometimes, all I want is to disappear from everything for a while.

I don’t want to explain too much about my situation here because I’m scared someone might recognize me. I’ve talked to someone from this place before, and I ended up giloko ko niya and gigamit. I really don’t want that person to somehow find out what I’m going through now or know anything about my current situation.

So I guess I’m just posting this here because I need somewhere to let it all out. I’m trying so hard to look like I’m okay. I’m trying to convince myself that things will eventually get better.

I just hope that someday, I’ll finally get the chance to leave, find a job, rebuild myself, and become someone who doesn’t have to keep escaping reality just to feel okay.

Career crisis

I am not sure if this a thread for this. But I am currently residing in Tagum and I have been a remote software engineer for five years. Those five years have been tough, sa mga software engineers here, I know some of you know what i mean.

The profession is riddled with instability. Every year, there is always a new trend. I saw this change throughout the years. there was a time na time trackers were the norm. then became the web3 hype where every company was looking for web3 expertise, and now, everything is all AI. Not to mention, software is a very unstable business. I have been laid off multiple times because the company can no longer sustain the financial burden of a tech team.

For five years, I have been always under a lot of stress. For the most part, that was good stress. the stress that urges you to work hard and gives you something to look forward in the future.

But now, at 30 years old, nagka reflection ko. Will i be able to sustain this amount of pressure and daily uncertainty the older i get? i think there is more to life than consistently thinking about work and where would you be in the future.

I love software development and I love to code. I am happy sa tanan nga napundar nako with my profession. in five years, i went from a salary of 20k as a trainee to 180k as a fullstack developer. but now, what is a big salary if months go by with the only thing you have done is only work.

I am currently unemployed and have been for 4 months recovering from extreme burnout. Burnout at this age, how much more diba if i get older. is someone here in tagum who felt this way and made a career shift to something else? hopefully within the city lang sad para dili rasad ko need mag relocate. i was thinking of shifting to teaching, pero grabe ka gamay sa sweldo sa teachers. i mean dili jud maka buhi ang less than 30k na sweldo. i was thinking of getting into uniformed service, especially bombero, pero ma relocate man jud na ba. kung dako dako lang unta ang sweldo, i would love to go into teaching while pursuing a law degree.

i am thinking of doing some mundane and non high pressure sources of income as of the moment para dugay mahurut ang kwarta, like driving services (i have a toyota wigo) or be a coding tutor.

Maybe what i am looking for is a conversation. because you never know ma widen akong perception of how to move forward in life.

SKL EXP AT TADAKUMA

So we were eating at Tadakuma last night, and we were so confident in ordering foods and anything. Ive had asked them if they took cards as a form of payment and they said na mu accept sila sa cards (which is so GOOD). But then, tung naabot na ang billing, gusto namo i split ang bill for two pero dili daw sila mag accept sa splitting bills (maybe company policy or whtever) and it is my first time na ing ana ang situation. Like most resto na akong na visit kay okay ra ang split bill, so in our mind, okay lang ang Tadakuma mag accept ug split bill. ULAW KAAYO kay kami ang last customers nila HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA MABOANG KO and grabeg tan-aw nila sa amoa while trying to settle to bill huhuhuhuhuhu (na down mi slight ani kay uncomfortable kaayo while ga tan-aw sila sa amoa)

SORRY KAAYO SA MGA TADAKUMA STAFF... nag ask unta jud mi beforehand if pwede ba mag split bill kay naanad na mi na mag split bill sa ubang resto and first time namo nag eat sa ilang resto....

THE FOOD WAS GREAT btw... pero never again sa exp

E.g. they said pancit guisado was good for 2 people pero ang servings mura namag 4-5 AHAHHAAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA so daghan na foods among na order hehehe. So I think they have to create like a new menu list na naa kung pila ka people ang igo sa usa ka food kay some customers were asking din sa same q namo.

Edit2: PLEASE GUYS DONT BE MEAN SA AKOA. IM JUST SHARING MY EXP SA KAULAW (as stated sa post(???)) This post is not a mean, Tagum-Today like post. Huhuhu. This is r/Tagum and this is Reddit, so I can share naman siguro my exp here. 🤪🤪🤪

nanginginig parin ako

30 minutes ago, my ex's phone number rang—pagsagot ko, it was his girlfriend's shaky voice confirming my name. tinanong niya ako agad when daw last conversation namin ng ex ko and what was it about. sinabi ko ang totoo na it was just yesterday & that he wanted makipagbalikan sakin.

it was a quick 2-minute call confirming her hunch. and i heard my ex yelling at the background telling me to drop the call. di ko dinrop, i answered all of the gf's questions. nanginginig parin ako kasi i cant believe i almost fell into his lies. tas may gf pa nadamay, akala ko aawayin na ako sa call e.

backstory: ex has been messaging me for 2 months asking for another chance. last week ko lang inentertain and now i find out he had a gf na pala.
