The Pearl: Meh. Disappointed.

Service was really solid- but the meal was just unremarkable for the really pricey bill that came with it.

Tried seafood & steak. Both were fine, but not worth it for premium pricing.

We got the jalapeño pan bread and the tater tots as apps. Again, fine, but nothing to write home about.

There’s so many really good upscale joints in Tampa- this one’s a skip.

4 Slain Family Members ID'd Days After Witness Described Seeing Man in Vest Loading 'Large Bag' in Car

This brutal family annihilation took place on May 3, 2026 almost 3 weeks ago and there has been virtual silence on the case since then. There is a homicidal maniac running around amongst us, but it seems like no one is even looking for him. Why is no one talking about this? No suspect has been identified yet? Really???? Where is the husband Jay Dempsey? If he were innocent, wouldn't he have stuck around town and be demanding answers and justice for the slaughter of his family? Are authorities hoping we just forget about the 4 innocent people who were murdered? What is the status of the investigation? What the hell is going on????!!!!! Am I the only one outraged by this?

It’s like an apocalyptic plague outside with these lovebugs.

Lived in Lutz for a few years and never understood the hooplah about the lovebugs. Saw one or two every year. Bought a house in Wimauma last August and good lord it’s disgusting out there. Swarms of these little assholes everywhere. Multiple times a day, I go out to sweep 100 of them off my front porch. This is crazy lol

Thankfully they’ll be gone soon for a few months

Gambling Addiction Resources Specific to Seminole Hard Rock.

A family member is a gambling addict. He goes to Seminole Hard Rock 5-6 days a week, between 2 and 8 hours a day. He lies to family members when he goes, saying that he's headed to a different destination only for us to find out later he spent the day at the slots. Lately he wrecked his car while racing to the casino to beat a midnight deadline for "free money" (money that can only be spent gambling at the casino).

Unfortunately he doesn't consider himself an addict. He hasn't totally destroyed his finances, and he doesn't notice the damage he's done to his relationships, his physical health, and now his car. He's not likely to take advantage of the self-exclusion program at the casino. We're wondering what we, the family members can do to help.

  1. What we can do at Seminole Hard Rock Casino? I'm sure the staff will say there's nothing they'll do unless he asks for help. If we push, could we get him removed from Unity club? Or take his address and phone number off their mailing and texting lists?

  2. There are many addiction treatment services in Tampa Bay. Have you encountered any that are good with gambling addictions?

  3. How to do an intervention? The depictions I've seen are just people telling the addict how much damage he's done and how terrible a person he's become. That sounds really counterproductive. Is there a better way to do it?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

Going to the Ritz Ybor in June.

Hey guys, not sure if anyone will have any information as to the questions I have but they’re about the Ritz in Ybor city. Me and my girlfriend are going to see Crankdat in June and I have some questions as to what we can bring in.

-Are weed pens / vapes allowed? (I have a FL medical card if that makes a difference)

-Any restrictions on outfits? My girlfriend is curious.

That’s basically it😂 This will be my first show I go to so I’m not really sure what I can and can’t bring. Thank you to anyone who is able to help!! -:)

The company raised $75 million in its Series C in 2022 but has not provided any updates about its finances since then. Existing investors Goldman Sachs and Magnetar doubled down, and the company raised equity funding from its major venture backers like Thrive Capital, Khosla Ventures, GV, Fifth Wall, Atomic, and Forerunner. New investors are also in the mix, including Neuberger Berman and Bridgepoint.

Gastroenterologist in Tampa that isn't corporate?

Working on an IBD diagnosis. I've seen two Gastro's at two different practices, both of which made sloppy errors on my orders, are incredibly hard to get ahold of and seem to really not actually be invested. (I understand corporate medical practices patient overload)

I've tried GastroMD and and Westchase GI. I've been trying to get into USF and can never get anyone to answer the phone.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a Gastro in Tampa that really spent the time to listen/has a strong bedside manor? (Brownie points if female)

Thanks!

Upcoming AMA (Ask Me Anything) on June 1st @ 1pm with Spectrum Bay News 9 Chief Meteorologist Mike Clay and another meteorologist where people can ask Q's on topics like Hurricane preparedness, past hurricanes in the area, what the predictions are for this year, etc

like the title says, on June 1st at 1pm, the meteorology team will make an AMA post from the account u/BN9WeatherExperts and then hanging around to answer any questions you all may have regarding hurricanes, since June 1 is the start of hurricane season

So get your questions ready, if you are new and want to know:

  • how much toilet paper to stock up on??

or if you are a seasoned vet and want to know:

  • If the weather service and emergency management officials (like FEMA) rely on the unofficial "Waffle House Index" to measure the severity of a storm (answer is yes BTW)

Mark those calendars because this will be the time to get those questions answered straight from the source!!!

Is this resume/CV format okay for jobs in San Francisco?

Hi everyone! I’m planning to apply for jobs in San Francisco and wanted to get feedback on whether this resume/CV format would work well there.

Template: https://cviya.com/resume-builder?template=classic

For those familiar with hiring in SF, does this layout look acceptable, or would you recommend any changes? I’d appreciate advice on formatting, ATS-friendliness, or anything that could improve my chances.

Thanks!

Reviving this. Thank you for the reminders that these codes still active. 7/11 gas discounts. $1 7-Eleven Gold reactivation promotion too

I have a 36 Gallon tank. That’s over $165 fill-up @ $4.59/gal. Haven’t filled it in damn near 5 days, maybe more. This will help. Mind you, the discounts are only valid up to 25 gallons per fill.

Edit: it’s $23.58 savings to get a full tank with 21.625 gallons pumped for $73.67 😇 thank you you come again
