Decentering Issue Fix?

Does anyone know why my mount is unleveled causing significant decentering in my images? I have the 35-150mm F2/2.8 Sony and I’m aware the lens is heavy which probably put strain on the mount but the black rubber O-ring is obviously unleveled.

If anyone has fixed this issue please let me know.

My lens is grey market, therefore Tamron will not bother with servicing it (extremely awful policy of their’s) so I’m stuck looking for a fix on my own.

Giara's first ever photoshoot Fujifilm X-E5 Tamron 17-70 f2.8 XP-Pen

💡 The Anatomy of a Great Model

True artistic success comes down to a simple formula:

  • Talent is born.
  • Technique is developed.
  • Ego gets in the way.
  • A closed mind shuts doors.

An over-inflated ego is the fastest way to stall a career, but a great attitude? That is the ultimate key to the top. Giara understands instinctively that photography is a collective journey. When you drop the pretence and focus purely on working together to produce art collectively, magic happens.

This young lady has the right attitude. Not everyone does.

Is my mount safe?

I have a tamron 70-200 f2.8 g2 for nikon. Using it on my z6 iii with ftz ii and will be using it on a d850 when it arrives. Is it safe to hold the camera by its grip only for handheld shooting? Will the lens break my mount? I mean one handed holding with no support on the lens.

Of course when using tri/monopods i use the lens collar.

Tamron 50-400 Di III VC VXD focusing problem w/ sony a6700

Hi all, I write in the hope to find a solution if anyone encountered the same problem. I have a rather new setup: a Sony a6700 (I'm new to Sony), and I just bought a Tamron 50-400 for a trip I am taking in a few days.

When trying the lens, I noticed immediately that it wasn't focusing, at all. I started playing around, updated the lens firmware (latest, v0.5), and made sure that the camera is on the latest firmware.
I also tried cleaning the contacts on both camera and lens.

Eventually, I managed to have it partially working. What happens for now is the following:
- when I switch on the camera with the lens on 50mm, the focus doesn't do anything: the autofocus doesn't engage and the manual focus doesn't do anything at all (the focus indicator moves on screen but it doesn't actually change anything)
- when I switch on the camera with the lens at ~100mm or more, the autofocus and manual focus work flawlessly on the whole range up to ~60mm, where it stops working again. If I go to manual with the lens at 60mm or lower I see the bar stuck on infinite, or moving very little from there and going back to infinite on its own).

Seldomly, the focus has worked on the full range when switching to AF-S mode from AF-C, but don't have a clear way to replicate it.

Given that this is brand new, I'm leaning towards a defective unit, but wanted to check if I'm missing something obvious before requesting a replacement.

Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas?

Thank you!
