The word get up-side-down and I don't think it's fun when getting pass and look at it everytime since Traditional Chinese is the Culture in Hong Kong. =(

Thoughts and suggestions

Love the game and see so much potential. With a few tweaks I truly think this could be something really special, and I’m so excited to see where it goes.

Really looking forward to the houses update! In the meantime, I’d love to share a few thoughts that I hope might help shape things:

Cars:
Personally, I think we are missing a luxury focus on vehicles. I’d love to see:

SUV:
Bentley Bentayga, Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Defender Octa, Current Gen G-Wagon, Aston Martin DBX, Ferrari Purosangue

Hypercar:
McLaren P1, Mercedes AMG One, Mercedes SLR

Sports:
Mercedes SL63, BMW M8, Porsche 911 Turbo / Targa

Classic:
Mercedes SL (W113), BMW 507

Saloons:
Mercedes S Class / Maybach, BMW 7 Series, Bentley Flying Spur, New Audi RS5, BMW M5 (with passengers sat in the back seat please 🙏)

To be honest, I’m really not fussed about bikes! 😅

Feature requests:
1. A fast travel option between islands would be a fantastic addition!
2. Love the vibe of Ibiza so much more than Hong Kong to be honest. Would love to see the map expanded!
3. We need some more assurances around offline mode. People are going to feel much more invested when they know the game will live on whatever happens in the future!
4. Would love a better theme tune on the opening screen. It feels a little flat compared to TDU.
5. Would love to see the map design updated to match the style of TDU1.

Bug fixes:
1. The Ferrari California appears to be missing its fuel filler cap.
2. Bentley GTC customisation feels quite limited compared to the coupe, which has much better options for interior colours and wheels.
3. DB11 Volante has buggy audio at low revs.

Keep up the amazing work. The best days for Solar Crown are still ahead! 🙌

Overpowered Taxi Missions?

I’ve only been playing the game for 6 weeks, but these two mission types seem wildly overpowered for the time invested vs. money earned. I’m talking about the “Rushed” and “Unwell” taxi missions (of any contract difficulty status).

The ability to do these missions without adhering to the rules of the road (opposite lane, red lights, stop signals, etc) means you can just breeze through them typically with almost no worries.

For the record, I’ve done every delivery and taxi mission in the game…..and I always repeat all legendary contracts and some epics. However, these two mission types should never be skipped from my perspective. They are super quick and very hard to mess up if you’re halfway coherent.

For the “Unwell” taxi mission specifically I’ll use a vehicle that is underpowered (within reason) that has weak brakes to make the overall ride smooth.

Side Note: This is predominantly for Hong Kong. The shorter missions on Ibiza change things a bit in my opinion (deliveries get a little bit stronger but these two are still king).

Am I missing anything?

Is this game really that bad?

I was a huge fan of tdu 2 back in the gap. I understand solar crown has had some issues that they may be working through. So now, two years after it dropped, is it worth playing? Have yall been able to make it worth the experience or is it all bad?

Daily Driver Showcase

A more realistic garage for most of us. Lol. Would’ve liked to have the Mini Cooper in here…..sucks that it can’t be visually customized.

Love the new Lambo

Wish it was the Huracan engine and drive train. But it's fabulous to look at. Reminds me heavily of a newer 355. Lovely.

Something Has Been on My Mind (FH6)

First off, I’m super glad that the general reception of FH6 is extremely positive overall. Huge congrats to Playground Games on their latest installment to the Horizon series and the great success it has had so far🎉🎉🎉 You identified what your audience wanted all along and you are delivering exactly that.

And to the Forza fans, great job for holding Playground Games accountable and advocating for yourselves. This is a huge achievement on your part and I hope you give yourselves credit for staying strong and seeing it come to fruition.

I’d like to address something. It’s something that’s been eating at me and lot of the persistent TDU fans alike. Please know this is not directed at the whole Forza community, but rather a much, much smaller, more toxic part of it. And no, even this smaller, toxic group that I’m referring to is not soley responsible for why TDUSC is where it is at now. That would be an absurd deduction, but so would saying that they did not play their role in this at all.

For everyone who has been harboring in this community like a cancer; not giving any meaningful feedback to make the game better and just using every opportunity to discredit what this game is and what it could be; here is your golden opportunity to migrate to FH6 and hopefully never return.

From my experience, most (not all) of these people came from Forza, much fewer from TCM, because FH5 was as underwhelming as a Horizon game could be. You all nested here in TDUSC’s community absolutely ravaging a game that was already in dismay. You plagued the devs with requests and complaints regarding the game’s qualities that made it UNIQE, rather than its blaring flaws that were left unattended. All to appease your fantasy of TDUSC being your FH5.5.

Prime example being the constant complaints about the graphic fidelity of the game that otherwise hasn’t changed. They bathed TDUSC in post-processing filters to make the game more vibrant, extremely contrasted, overly saturated, something that HKI definitely is not known for. All of a sudden you all are happy that we have a less accurate depiction of HKI. Granted the actual visual performance of the game was majorly unchanged. Weird…

Or how about the complaints of an economy that was perfectly suitable for a LIVE SERVICE game with approximately 100 cars at launch (and growing excruciating slowly)… You select few were so unhappy about having to actually PLAY THE GAME to progress that they had to find ways to feed you money for doing the bare minimum…

BUT WAIT! THAT WASN’T GOOD ENOUGH! You STILL found it so painful to play the game that the devs had to turn their backs on the sole TDU fanbase and stoop so low as to offer MONEY PACKS (diamonds) to allow you to buy in-game currency!!! SOMETHING THEY PROMISED THEY WOULD NEVER DO!!! All to make sure that you could fast track your way to faster cars, and a bigger cash balance. Oh, and for those of you who doubled down to dedicate the time to play TDUSC at a time when the game barely ran; unlocking what you all thought were time-exclusive cosmetics and vehicles—NEWSFLASH, everyone can access those now, even the vehicle you were GIFTED as an APOLOGY for having to play the game in the abysmal state that it was. Where does this sound familiar?

Everyone wanted more cars at some point of course but early on we the community had our minds set on fixing the core mechanics of the game first. Anyone who has played since launch can vouch that we HAVE NEVER had a fully functioning game. If it wasn’t the absence of server stability, it was game-breaking bugs, constant crashing, and everything in between. All while you drew comparisons about how FH has 10+ times as many cars without adjacently pointing out that Playground Games also has 10+ times the money and manpower than KT. You still can’t even start a multiplayer race and matchmake consistently without having a dedicated group of players to play with for crying out loud.

It’s extremely hard for a lot of you to understand that games of the same genre can coexist and concurrently shape their own identity parallel from one another. So often I’ve seen people in this community claim that one game would “kill” another. Why? Because those same people want to see multiple games slowly blend into the same thing. That is the only way a game or franchise could make another obsolete.

There’s being a fan of two games, making general observations of what either has to offer and EVEN what you have in one that you might want to see in another. On the contrary there’s being a CANCEROUS LEECH of two games and the ONLY thing you can do is draw stark comparisons, YES/NO, Black/White, Good/Bad from them rather than looking at a game independently and taking note of how one can improve in solitary.

You select few that played your part in disbanding the little sense of direction that we had here in this community, I hope you find your happy place, it ain’t here. Yet something tells me you folks could never be happy. Not until this game looks, feels and plays, just like Forza. Forza, Forza, Forza. “Forza has” this and “Forza does” that. You never wanted a better TDU… you just wanted another Forza. Well you got it now… Please, go home. And don’t come back until you can respect ours. Or don’t come back at all, we won’t beg you… The party is over. Leave us be. We have a lot to cleaning up to do.

Your definition of progression/completion in TDU3?

How do you define what is progression in the game? Personally, I have hit player level 70, hit reputation level 70 with Sharp, and then reset and hit level 70 with Streets.

However, I have not yet gotten the platinium trophy, not completed all races (nearly 200 races are listed as new), not done the 6 jewel races, not done much online racing at all (not by choice, my region is empty most times), not completed every task (there are A LOT!), not bought every car, etc. And honestly, I don't feel a need to do much else. Maybe if I managed to complete the multiplayer trophies, then I will get the motivation to get platinium. But as it stands now, I just log in weekly to grab free gems and complete the weekly task for pathetic rewards.

What does progression mean to you? What do you feel you need to do or complete before deciding that you've done all that you wanted to do?

Forza Horizon looks really good. I can't stand the vibe of the game, but the graphics are really top notch

All the over saturated colors making it feel like a hello kitty island, but the actual gameplay graphics are top notch.

Wish we could have graphics like that in solar crown.

Anyone played the preview yet?

Stock Gold Edition Garage

In TDU, I have always used stock cosmetics to differentiate the vibe from other games.

As you know, this is extremely limiting without being able to change certain wheel (and especially brake caliper) colors. With this self-inflicted limiter, I always set out to put together what a find to be the most elegant, least visually-abrasive combinations the game will allow. I do this without wanting to constantly recycle the easiest paint schemes to make work (black, white, silver, red, etc.)

Any feedback, positive or negative, is welcome. Always have been, and will be, a die hard TDU fan! In the real world I own an original paint survivor, 34,000 mile 1965 Dodge Dart GT with a 273 4bbl commando engine. Probably why I skew this direction. Lol.

Advantages of the TDU solar crown

In TDU Solar Crown, there's no boring festival or intrusive holiday spirit. Joy and fun are showered upon you from every direction. Rejoice, rejoice, rejoice, don't be bored, just don't get bored. Here's a ton of questions to answer, here are fireworks and ramps. If you crash, no big deal, just rewind time. Here are a hundred thousand cars—and it doesn't matter if you only drive three or four, and the rest at least make it to the nearest intersection. And how was it before? In both NFS and TDU—you're alone, against the whole city, against everyone, you must become the best, find the best car, make it the fastest, the most stylish, and take first place, clawing out victory through dozens of restarts. Modern arcade racing has lost all that.
