Another bugged weekly event!

So I have sunk so may hours into this game I just do the weekly races. Well today it said the live event for this week is complete before I even started and when I finished my first race i didnt get my 10 points of course. I had just been playing the weekly’s and I was 10 spots from competing the solar pass so I sunk a day into competition and then they delayed the next season so I still haven’t bought the pass was going to buy enough credits to buy next season as well but they say they are going to raise the price but then they say they are going to give more than 10 diamonds a week so if I continue to log in will this cover the difference. I feel frustrated as an early adopter and sticking with this game for so long. I still can rarely find anyone online to race because the server only allows 8 players at a time in your region and platform this wasnt a thing on the original 20 years ago what’s the problem?

No ORC. Houses in 2027. Looks good 👍

Motorcycles? Being able to reliably group up, cruise, and race together-? We're workin on it

Please buy diamonds though 💎

"The Gentleman"

Luxurious and powerful, the Bentley Continental GT third generation is one astonishing car, extremely comfortable, with a shiny interior design, and a huge twin turbo W12 that packs 626bhp, this old money beast can go from a nice evening cruise, to a deadly fast top speed of 333km/h quite easily.

Out of Map interesting finds

I’ll upload a video too - some interesting notes from being out of the Ibiza map.

A lot of land and elevation is rendered in, for at least 5 miles up the coast, very vast and super cool to see that it’s there in some form.

Some roads were found much closer to the original game area. My route was set back to the main map, and the map shows these roads on the map on the route, though you can’t see them on the map. These roads seem to be the ones that run off the map on the edge of town.

Will try this again in a more capable car and see how far I can go and what really exists, I’m hooked now.

Hoping a map expansion is due soon! The newer roads look really good. Twisty, elevation change. Very exciting.

Cross-progression

Will the game have cross progression. I’m currently on ps5 and I’m getting a pc soon. So I’m hoping soon enough that cross progression comes and I won’t need to grind the game again

Advice

I have 500 credits and got 6$ to spend , I was thinking about getting the solar pass cause why not. But I have the free one from the gold edition. So should I just get the extra credits to buy it or use my free solar pass cause from what I’m seeing, next pass is 1000 credits and has nothing that I want.
I thought about waiting for the next pass then buying the cars that I want individually but then thought why not get everything

Some suggestions for quality of life

Though this game has been disappointing at times, I still enjoy cruising around the map, and I wish to see more improvements on the way. I want to offer a few suggestions that could meaningfully improve the overall gameplay experience, at least from a player's perspective.

1. Offline Mode

This is the most important suggestion on my list. The current servers generally run fine, but minor connection issues can still occur even when I am racing in single-player mode, which can be quite frustrating. For a smooth gameplay experience, it is important to give players the freedom to choose whether they want to play online or offline. I hope that an offline mode can be placed on the development agenda as soon as possible, not simply as a future promise but as a feature under actual development. Players should not have to depend entirely on server stability to enjoy single-player content.

2. Optimization and Stability

This would be my second-highest priority, because a stable frame rate is core to the gameplay experience. I have noticed improvements in optimization between seasons, which I appreciate. However, I still occasionally experience significant FPS drops while playing on medium-high settings, sometimes falling to around 20 FPS. Without a stable and smooth frame rate, players cannot fully enjoy newly added cars, events, or other content. I hope optimization and overall stability continue to be treated as major priorities.

3. Put Free Solar Pass Cars in the Dealership

Cars that were originally available for free through the Solar Pass should eventually be placed in the dealership rather than being locked behind the in-game store. There should not be further monetization of content that was originally presented as freely obtainable.

More broadly, I disagree with the current direction of the Solar Pass. I understand that the game needs to generate revenue, but the better approach is to make the pass attractive enough that players want to purchase it, rather than increasing prices or placing more desirable content behind a paywall in an attempt to pressure players into buying it.

4. More Detail in the Cars

TDU is, in many ways, a lifestyle game rather than simply a racing game, so I believe the quality and personality of individual cars matter greatly.

The in-game vehicle models are already quite good, as well as the handling, but one area that could be significantly improved is the small details that many other car games overlook.

One example is the infotainment system and digital gauge cluster. Many modern vehicles have sophisticated digital displays, yet TDUSC often represents them in a very simplified way. For example, the digital cluster in Lamborghinis displays basic information such as RPM and speed, but other elements such as temperature, date, and additional vehicle information remain static. Similarly, the G-force meter in the Porsche Taycan does not even move, and neither does the clock on the center console. The Audi GT e-tron's digital cluster is also highly simplified and somewhat blurry, while the real vehicle can display navigation, music information, temperature, date, and other functions.

The center infotainment screens also feel underdeveloped. In many vehicles, they simply display a generic manufacturer logo rather than useful information. I wish I could see navigation, vehicle status, or media information on these screens, so they can be a useful part of the car's interior. If these infotainment systems and digital displays were made more detailed and realistic, I believe TDUSC could stand out much more in terms of driving immersion.

Beyond the screens themselves, small lifestyle details would also help. For example, the BMW M4 has a startup greeting animation and sound on the center cluster when the engine is started in real life, yet I have rarely seen games reproduce details like this. Likewise, many cars in the game are equipped with head-up displays in real life, but their windshields remain empty in-game. More realistic ambient lighting would also be a welcome addition, as well as blind-spot monitoring lights on the rear-view mirrors, interior chimes, and accessories! Are they related to racing? No, but will they improve immersion in driving, the core of TDU? Absolutely.

For inspiration, the developers could look at games such as American Truck Simulator and Cyberpunk 2077, both of which pay close attention to digital displays and small environmental details. These seemingly minor features can add a great deal of personality and immersion, and I believe they could help TDUSC distinguish itself from other driving games.

5. Make Hong Kong Feel More Like Hong Kong

The map itself is wonderful, but I sometimes feel detached from it because there are relatively few elements that feel distinctly local.

Games such as Forza Horizon have made strong use of their settings by creating missions and events that reflect local culture. For example, racing against a historic express train to Edinburgh in Forza Horizon 4. TDUSC, by comparison, lacks a strong narrative connection between its car lifestyle and the unique atmosphere of Hong Kong. As a result, the two clans in the game can sometimes feel somewhat generic.

There are many opportunities to incorporate Hong Kong's identity more directly into the game. For example, why not create a story mission centered on a Toyota Crown taxi driver? Why not explore Hong Kong's underground street-racing culture, which would fit naturally with the Street clan? HK is also home to many luxury hotels, so why not add more Chauffeur missions or Supercar show-ups to display the level of lavishness? More missions tied to local transportation and culture could make the setting feel much more meaningful.

Please consider these suggestions. Despite my criticisms, I still enjoy the game and genuinely hope it continues to improve. TDUSC has a unique concept and a great deal of potential, and I hope future updates can build on that foundation and give the game the strong future it deserves.

Do you listen to TDU soundtrack ?

So I usually turn off the radio when I play. But you are forced to listen when you’re racing. I usually just turn down the volume but I had just finished a taxi mission so I had volume up. I was kinda surprised when I paid attention to the song that was playing “show me the money shot” wow kinda crazy they would have such a sexual song in the game. Am I just being crazy?

🎌 Say hello to the 97' Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IV!

This vehicle will be free for everyone as the level 50 Solar Pass reward!

Stay tuned because over the next days we'll be showing not only what's coming in Season 7, but Season 7's mid-season update and Season 8's houses in the next Nacon Racing showcase!

We want to show you the work we've done so far on both of these subjects! We're excited, and we hope you soon are too! See you later this week!

p.s -> we've heard your mentioned of wanting a BOV noise and louder turbo's when upgrading your cars in Season 7 (news from the R34 gameplay we teased). We'll try working on this before the season launches for all of the JDM vehicles! ;)

Adding JDM cars is all well and good, but you really need to do something about the idiotic AI cars.

Here are screenshots from the Season 7 announcement trailer.

I’ve been driving in Japan for over 40 years, but I’ve never seen an idiot who turns left from the right lane while signaling a right turn.

The white car behind has its left-turn signal on, but it is also making a left turn from the right lane.

Or is it a special rule unique to Hong Kong? I don't recall seeing that on Ibiza, though please forgive me if I'm mistaken.

Finally, I have absolutely no intention of mocking this game.
