WhatsApp account suddenly signed out. Linked number is no longer active and the account was set to be updated to a new number. Unfortunately, the account was hacked before this, and cannot be signed back in because the registered number cannot receive calls or texts for verification.

The account is clearly hacked because a random person now has control of it and is messaging people. I tried messaging them myself from my WhatsApp but I only received one check and and my call was left ringing. The WhatsApp support is not very helpful bc it's just an AI bot with generic advice.

I'm studying maths next year and I need a laptop preferably with a touch screen, i'm good with pc specs but laptop specs feel more complicated for some reason considering i need to also beware of damage/wear if i'm looking to buy a refurbished. My budget is somewhat tight *perferably under 600 GBP and I would prefer something with windows OS. I don't plan to game on it as I have a pc at home, its just something used for note taking and general schoolwork

I have a decent gaming laptop that isn’t being used, as I’ve switched to a desktop and don’t use it for portable gaming. I already have a lighter laptop I use for school/work related stuff, but the laptop has somewhat decent specs (3050 ti, 16 gb of ram, etc) so I was wondering if there was any advice on what I could use it for now. I’d hate to see it collect dust/go to waste.

Hi everyone, I would like some advice on Wich OS to use on my 8 year old, Intel core I3 7th gen, 4gb of ram, and a 256 gb nvme SSD, it's my old notebook, i already have a PC that on windows 11 but after a long time without using my notebook, i updated to windows 11 and noticed how heavy and full of bloat ware the windows 11 is, i never used Linux before and would like some advice on Wich one to use, I just want to watch some videos to study, movies and to be a complementary to my Samsung tablet, maybe play some easy to run games and emulators, any advice and tutorial on how to configure is and use is appreciated.

Hi im not sure if this is the right subreddit to post on, but I'm not great at iPad models 🙃

My mom's old iPad no longer gets updates and is therefore dying 🤣🤣 So I'd like to buy an iPad for her on her 47th Birthday. She doesn't like to buy/change devices often so the iPad needs to be able to last pretty well, she likes to use it to stream Movies/Shows and play games like HayDay.

Any recommendations?

I am experiencing performance issues with my Asus X555LAB laptop (Windows 10). Lately, the system has become incredibly slow, and multiple applications keep freezing with "Not Responding" messages. please advise on what steps I should take to troubleshoot or fix this

A few years back, I had a BT Transmitter could be set to 87.7. It was perfect because there were no radio channels on that frequency. Eventually it broke, but it was fairly inexpensive and lasted a few good years so I just repurchased the same one, only to find out it only went down to 88.1. It worked okay, except it was slightly fuzzier and sometimes other cars would interfere with it.

Now that one has also died, and I've been casually browsing for a new one. Most retailers don't have frequency ranges listed under their transmitters, and the ones that do, don't go below 88.1. Did I get an "illegal" transmitter years ago or has something changed?

Business major and I saw some stuff saying i’m gonna need a windows laptop but I just wanted verification and some recommendations on what to get.

So recently I've been looking at a Laptop or an iPad for college but i just cant decide on what is better, id love to have a MacBook since ive always dreamed of one but i can only afford a refurbished M1 from 2020, in comparison i can get an Ipad air M2 2024 for around the same price if not cheaper, both refurbished since i cant afford apple pricing even with a student discount. I’m also scared for the MacBook as it’s old and will only be updated for another 2 or 3 years.

In college I'm hoping to be taking Drama Technology and IT so I don't know what would be better since i know that MacBook's are better for writing and typing whilst iPad are more for note taking and such, also i have a desktop computer at home so would a MacBook be necessary? i just need help or advice at this point anything would help, thank you all

I’m planning to study cosmetology, so i just need an affordable decent laptop that runs well enough for taking down notes, making powerpoints, doing research etc. The reviews i see on the Neo are very 50/50. Some say it’s perfect for college/school and basic work use, others say it doesn’t run well at all, doesn’t support most websites and apps needed for college, and just isn’t worth the money, so i’m slightly conflicted on wether it’s worth buying. Obviously i would use it to watch youtube, netflix and such in my free time aswell, but most importantly i’m wondering wether it’s good enough for school work. Are there any other, affordable, options from apple? Maybe something that runs well enough to play games on aswell?

Using G-Helper instead of stock Armoury Crate, set to Turbo mode

This is my first reddit post so please forgive me if I make any mistakes, So I have been getting regular FPS drops/stutters in nearly every game I play. It's not tied to one title — happens in almost everything except Mortal Kombat 1, which runs perfectly fine for some reason. Currently testing mostly with Crimson Desert on Low settings, capped at 60 FPS, and still get periodic spikes: FPS craters for a few seconds every few minutes, recovers, then repeats.

What I've already tried:
-Clean GPU driver reinstall (DDU).
-Adjusted basically every in-game graphics setting
-Stopped/removed leftover ASUS services (Armoury Crate Service, ROG Live Service, etc.) that can conflict with G-Helper.
-Fully uninstalled Armoury Crate, running G-Helper only.
-Checked G-Helper's Advanced tab — no CPU/GPU undervolt applied.
-Running in Turbo mode (highest power/performance profile)
-Ran cinebench and the score for gpu was27303 with 70-75 degrees celcius and cpu(multiple thread) was 1950 and sits at 80 degrees celcius.

Note- I repasted with the honeywell ptm few weeks ago myself so can that be the issue?

Let me know if someone knows how to fix this.

What I need:

• Modern Ryzen 7 / Intel i7 (or similar)
• Good battery life and build quality
• Ideally 4–5 years of use
• Touchscreen/2-in-1 is a bonus, not essential
