One Final Slander.

This is my farewell to the Calamity mod, a very special mod for me. I hope you can tell by the meme that I have been on the community for a long time, and bid farewell to Calamity with a broken heart full of memores, and love.

Do not harass the devs, show all your love and support to the affected victims, and try other mods! You can ask me for recommendations and I shall provide.

Sayonara, Calamity. ♡

Catastrophes Beyond the Calamity

The mod is based on calamity(obviously) but is set 100 years in the future after the original Terrarians defeat at Yharims hands. The mod will not only compose of some old calamity bosses(not all of them) but also new bosses!

Tmodloader Error?

Anybody know a fix to this? Retrying or skipping loading mods just brings me back to this error screen after a quick loading screen and I havent seen any info on this online anywhere. Ive re-installed and deleted terraria and tmodloader dozens of times and nothing seems to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.

Please advise how to start playing with Calamity.

I played through the game for the first time three years ago, a couple of times with friends, and never even tried solo. I've been putting off Calamity for three years now, and now, with all the buzz in the community, I've decided to start playing.I wanted to ask a few questions regarding how to start playing.

  1. Should I wait for tModLoader version 1.4.5 to get the most out of the game? I know no one knows when it's coming out, much less when it's coming out for mod, considering all the mess the developers are in.But nevertheless, I have no idea what has changed in the new version other than the fact that they improved the crafting system.

  2. Is it worth replaying Terraria to refresh my memory before Calamity?

  3. How and where can I download the latest Calamity mod? I know it's available for download from the Steam Workshop, but listening to all these endless rumors and comments about all this drama surrounding the mod, I'm confused about what's true and what's not. I heard that the music and several sprites were cut from the mod's workshop version, and if that's true, So where can I download the latest NORMAL version of the mod?

  4. I've heard that Calamity has a lot of unofficial add-ons. How many are there, and is it worth playing them on my first playthrough, or can I get by with just Calamity at first?

New Lunar Veil mod 2.0 looks awesome

For all my fellow calamity enjoyers looking for another mod to add to their playlist, I have one hell of a high quality mod for you. I just recently found this mod called Lunar Veil made by Royal moon studios after watching a video from youtuber ThirdWorldGamer (The ninth photo is from his video and the rest are from the mods discord) and man... It looks really good. Set to release by December or early 2027 for it's 2.0 update which completely revamps the whole mod making it kind of like it's own game compared to the legacy version. The mod consists of a ton of qol things, new features, many enemies, and possibly 50+ bosses almost doubling calamites total boss count. Please give this a look since it doesn't have much exposure right now and deserves it with this level of quality...

Disclaimer: I didn't put it there, and also I have a lot of mods (cheaty ones)

Calamity mod going down in flames could be good for the Terraria modding scene.

Obvious thing out of the way, I love the calamity mod itself, and will probably continue to play it (separating art from artist and all). but to tell the truth i think im somewhat glad to see it go because i think it will open up so much for the modding community. Previously if you wanted to make a content mod, compatibility with Calamity was a huge thing you needed to take into account, and a mod could even be judged more harshly if it wasnt compatible. since basically everyone always plays with Calamity thats a huge group who just wouldnt play it. With Calamity gone i think it opens up room to potentially get less Wrath of Gods (no shade i do love that one but just for the sake of the point) and more Starlight River now that the first FaQ isnt always going to be "compatible with calamity?". Though im sad we will never get an official Yharim fight im excited to see what is to come in this new era yk

Are the whips from the newest terraria update in calamity?

I’m somewhat new to modded terraria and was curious if the whole mod has to be updated to the newest terraria update or if it was ever done before all the stuff happened with the mod.

To Your Eternity terraria mod suggestion

I was watching this interesting anime called "To Your Eternity" about this orb of consciousness that grew the more he experience and was able to replicate and create replications of things and people who've died. He was created by "the black one" and his enemies are "nokkers" who can take away his memories of the dead person and remove his ability to turn into them. I was watching S2 E9 when I thought of how much it reminded me of the journey mode in terraria. I envisioned every now and then "the black one" would appear behind you as an npc, briefly talk to you, then disappear. for a while you wouldnt be able to talk to it, only listen, until you experienced more npcs and learn to speak. it would be very interesting if someone could make this project into a playable mod. It'll be like learning to exist in terraria, growing with every experience, every sensation, creating objects as you learn them, becoming npcs or mobs that you kill or see die and gaining their abilities, eventually learning to create entire land masses or biomes with the end goal of cleansing all of the nokkers and becoming the world 🌎. What do you guys think of this idea as a Terraria mod?

Honestly, I was planning to use the musical tracks from the Calamity mod in my fangame with permission of the creators obviously, but seeing this, I think I'd better not.

So uh… now what? (Calamity)

Now that Calamity’s gonna fall, or is falling, what’s next in line? Will there be another big mod to take its place?
I get that Calamity is not the only mod to exist
but 70% of my runs
were on Calamity + Fargo’s
now what do we do?

Either way money is on Starlight River
I think it’ll be an amazing mod once finished. It already is amazing. It’s not too much like Calamity either, more in the.. sense of progression and such. You should really check it out if you haven’t.

Other projects and mods look incredibly promising or amazing to play too.
Like
Mod of Redemption
Homeward Journey
Spirit
Thorium
Fargo’s is still here, plus Fargo’s 2.0 is soon.
and plenty more.

So, since it’s gone, what other mods or combinations would you recommend people play?

Is right now still a good time to play Calamity + Fargos?

I have heard that there’s a mod that merges the two for compatibility. If anyone has insights on this combination (and yes, I know about the recent calamity announcement) I’d be interested in hearing your opinion!
