I need a refresh of a fading memory. Can anyone recall how the pictured die cast pin was obtained? Two thoughts:

1. A proof of purchase of the three Sonic Temple "cassingles" (Fire Woman, Edie (Ciao Baby), Sweet Soul Sister) had to be mailed to [the fan club??], along with a self addressed stamped envelope. Months and months later the pin showed up.

2. Just like the new era of sport card collecting, a random redemption card was inserted into one of the three Sonic Temple "cassingles". It was mailed to Warner Bros. with a self addressed stamped envelope and half a year later the pin would arrive.

I recently rediscovered this pin in a box of my collectable coins. Why I put in there and not with my music collectibles? Your guess! Fact is, with my coins the pin was afforded the same care and managed to stay in mint condition.

I've seen The Cult live 33 times since '86 and this week's Mandatory track was only played at one of those shows. During the Electric '13 Tour and it was the absolute highlight for me. It left me wondering why the hell they don't play it more and reminded me that I think these days, it's my favorite off Electric. Or at least tied with LRM.
