[PC][2000s][First-person] Low-poly exploration/psycho-horror game with small abstract companion that guides you through a labyrinth

Looking for an old English-language first-person 3D PC game (low-poly, 2000s era, I think it was on Steam).

You play as the main character exploring a labyrinth-like area. There’s a small abstract companion (red or black, very simple/abstract design) that guides you through the maze and has the only voice lines in the game.

In the bad ending the companion gets flipped upside-down and suddenly looks like a little devil. He tricks you, a cage rises up, and you’re trapped.

To progress properly in the story you have to distrust his directions and deliberately take the opposite path.

One specific bad-ending scene I remember: a closed room with a checkerboard-pattern floor over lava. You have to walk across a walkway/bridge to a platform to grab a key (or similar item).

Pure exploration with some light psychological horror elements, no real combat as far as I remember.

I even drew the companion roughly (normal and flipped versions) if that helps. (sry im shii with ms paint)

Any ideas?

Need help finding an old co op game that came out around the same time as Grand Theft Auto 3

Hi all,

I’m looking for an old game that I can’t seem to find listed anywhere. I don’t remember the title at all.

I’ll describe the game and roughly the era it came out.

It came out around 1999 to 2003 and I played it on the original Xbox. Not sure if it was available on other platforms.

I remember the house I lived in when I had it so I know roughly when it was out.

It got buried by another game that launched around the same time.

Possibly GTA 3( 2001). It did not sell well and I picked up a preowned copy from game stop.

It was a 2 player co-op, first person shooter.

I remember it was a wave defence game. You had a wall fortress that you ran around and repaired in between waves.

It had multiple levels and it had mounted heavy machine guns in multiple locations.

I’m took place in a box canyon with 3 roads that came down into the box canyon.

You got to mount weapons or use a rifle during the wave.

I remember we were blue skinned people. The game did not have any progression or levelling up mechanics

Any help is appreciated.

Solved! It is Rouge Trooper but it’s a game mode called StrongHold. It’s not the regular game. It was 3rd person so I got some details wrong.

This video is the game I remember.

HELP!! 2000s online PC game

I know this is a complete shot in the dark but if anyone can help me Reddit can! I cant for the life of me remember the name of a game I used to play online. You had different level "space jets" you would fly with the arrow keys and defend a base (on Mars i think) against wave after wave of alien ships. The soundtrack was some kind of funky techno

Need help remembering video game from late 90s, early 2000s. Likely PlayStation or Xbox.

I used to love playing this video game, but haven’t been able to remember the name of it for years.

What I remember:

-pretty, less cartoony graphics. Think game of thrones time, place and aesthetics.
-you collect and trade things in the town
-I remember traveling in large sewers and collecting the tails of creatures called something like “baccites.” Maybe they were kinda lizard-y.
-the side quests were things like collecting volumes of books and bringing them places.
-the combat was hard as hell and it was team combat.

I have searched and searched and can’t find anything. Must have been a popular game—it was pretty cool. I was playing it after beating Ocarina of Time after it had just come out. Trying to fill the void!
