Donate clothes

Hey 👋

I have a pile of toddler clothes and shoes to donate.... I'm a bit reticent to give them to an op shop because the last tine I went to the op shop at the dump, I paid $15 for a board game - i feel op shops are more targeted to the middle class now rather than the people most in need of these clothes.

Are there any charities in Hamilton I can donate to that give clothes to people, or if not, the best places to donate?

Thanks all

Fastest growing city in NZ?

I grew up rural and was so excited to move to Hamilton 15 years ago. Everything was close and convenient, I've loved it. But I dont want to live in a big/busy city.

Is this basically where we are heading?

Is anyone considering moving out of Hamilton?

Favourite stores at base?

Hey everybody, I was just wondering what’s your favourite store at The Base, and why? 👀

Literally no reason for this post other than i am just curious to see everyone’s opinions on the different stores, and their recommendations!

I always go to the same like three stores, so curious what your go to stores are and why!

Someone left their headphones case on the Glenview bus, between 5-5:50

I handed it in to the driver of that trip. Maybe contact the transport centre tomorrow and ask where they’ve ended up

Going For A Walk - Sunday

I've sent a few random invites out, and love the foraging mushroom man's vibe - in his recent post. Must admit, Reddit isn't a great forum for organizing or chatting.

Going for a Walk on Sunday 8am - Hayes Common: around the bridges with my teenage kids, and Hamilton Road Runners (note I'm walking!). Welcome to join me. Will be wearing a garish teal political party T-shirt (you'll know the one).

Topics of conversation, best holiday? Dream holiday? What are you passionate about? Best eats in Hamilton?

Flick me a message, will start a group for random walking / hikes in the area. (Wildthings app is great for prospective locations). Go for a coffee at Hayes common after completing a loop if you are keen. (Up to Victoria bridge, and back around)

Say hello via the vulcan salute (Live long and Prosper). That way we will start off hilariously un-cool, and get all the awkwardness out of the way immediately.
