What is the best type or types? Let’s say I make around 70 round trips a day and close most positions with a minute

I used to use only buy market orders. I realized the open pl would immediately be negative the majority of the time. I tried using buy bid but lost out on several entry opportunities that would’ve led me to a profit

Lately I've been seeing occasional price improvement on some of my SPX limit orders. I've never seen this previously on TOS (10+ years). Earlier today I put in a limit order to sell a put at the midpoint between bid and ask (usually a $0.10 spread), and then got filled at $0.10 above my limit, $0.05 above the displayed ask price. There wasn't enough market movement to cause this price change. Is this lag? Like the prices in the option chain I'm seeing are not the real current prices? I did notice TOS now has a 'price improvement' column in the filled orders section on the monitor / activity and positions page, and it's showing that it improved my price on that trade. Price improvement is great, but I'm not sure where it's coming from. I would have chosen a different strike if I knew the prices were actually different than displayed in the option chain.

Wasted long weekend of research. Charts are on mobile, why not on thinkorswim?

I've been using the Logitech M720 Triathlon mouse for a while and it's time to replace it because it's having issues. Was a beginner trader when I started using it. But now, would like to know what's the best mouse for ToS.

Thinkorswim just updated and I can't find my FX charts. Any help from anyone?

I am trying to figure out how much TOS lags. I can submit a market order and it will take about 3 seconds to execute. I can have a limit on the chart and the candle will cross the limit and again about 3 seconds of delay. I tried to compare it to my account in WEBULL. That system seems to execute almost instantly. It also takes considerably less memory and processing power to run WEBULL. Do other users see the same thing? As a Daytrader should I be switching?

Candles are lagging behind the actual price. Anyone else having this issue?

Im trying to test out an options strategy and cant find the on-demand function.

been with TOS all my life, had some short put verticals that were completely buried. I call TOS, now Schwab, they tell me it doesn't matter, it's $100 loss (they are 1 wide) so don't bother closing them. i didn't, i got assigned early (a thursday) on the short side, manually exercise the long on the friday, get charged a lot of interest for margin, over the weekend. i call Schwab, first person tells me i have no accounts with them (i have 7 and i gave them my social security number). Second person, not a broker so can't help. Third person, explains the exercise but not why the long side didn't get auto exercised at the same time and why i was told, if buried, it doesn't matter if you close or not. has this happened to anyone else?

I wasn’t able to close my MU positions as it was dumping this morning, around 9:35am. Everything froze and it sent 2 orders instead of 1, went to cancel them, submitted the cancellation and 1 minute later it went through.
Did anyone go through something like this in the morning ?

My current laptop has a 32 GB of RAM and AMD ryzen 7 250 W Radeon on 780 M graphics with 2 GB graphics card and 238 GB of storage.

Is this enough to run thick or swim efficiently without any delay? I am also using a hardwired connection.

I’ve run thinkorswim on an M1 MacBook Pro, m3 ultra max studio, and M5 MacBook Pro. The studio (a desktop type device for those unfamiliar, plugged into monitors) has no problems beyond ToS being memory hungry and needing to restart the app every few days. But the laptops have regular crashes where the app just shuts down, no warning or error or anything. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Happy to share logs for details - it’s a rendering issue that results in a Java exception.

I have traded off and on for the last few years and am slowly reacclimating myself with the process and indicators. Got into a trade yesterday and made a huge gain in a very short time but the process of placing the order and getting out (even worse) was very clunky and stressful.

I do not trade options. Mostly micro caps and momentum plays. What is the BEST & easiest way to get into the trade (initial buy) quickly and even more important, the fastest way out of a trade after I have reached a point that I am ready to take profit and run. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a few groups set up in desktop and I want to know if they show up in the mobile version.

Hi, I've been reading about the pro status classification which you get if you average 390+ trades per day for over a month/quarter

There seems to be very little information on this online and I'm wondering if anyone knows what exactly changes regarding fees?

I keep hearing Id get increased fees but can't really seem to find numbers anywhere

Similarly it seems fills get worse. Would anyone be able to describe how significant this is? Does it affect both liquid and illiquid options?

I have several accounts and want to limit which of those accounts I see in TOS mobile iPhone app. I can select on desktop app which accounts I see. How to do that on the iPhone mobile app.

All the accounts are enabled for TOS trading.

The only way I found so far that I can do this is shut some of the accounts off of TOS but that’s not what I want because they all need to have TOS access. Just don’t need to view them when I look at totals etc.

Ideas ?
