How do I go about learning ti-basic ?

Assuming a jailbreak for this calculator comes out eventually, will this calculator bring anything new or interesting to the TI gaming community? I'm mostly inquiring about more complex games, such as games you'd need emulators for. Will GBA games be possible on this calc? Or, will there be no noteworthy improvements, and should the insane people who only buy these expensive calculators just to play games on (like myself) skip on purchasing this one?
as the title implies i just recently got a brand new ti 84 plus CE im getting very worried as i cant seem to get it to connect to ti-connect (trying to download artifice) it also seems like its not charging too im not 100% sure though
I have new TI-84 Evo and a Linux system with Firefox (with an extension for WebUSB). TI's website for connecting to the calculator does not work, and TI84CalcWiz also seems to not work. I was able to use TI84CalcWiz on a Chromebook but that is uncomfortable to use; so, is there a program for Linux to connect to an Evo calculator?
Does anyone know how to put games like Pokémon on it
Does anybody have a ti-84 graphing calculator lying around that they can give to a student?
I'm modding my ti84 plus ce and really wanted a way to sort the stuff really anything works just don't want arTIfiCE menu
We all know the TI-84 Evo was released a few months ago to replace the TI-84 Plus CE Python. I've collected my thoughts in this video and concluded that it could be so much better if TI just stopped holding back. I'd be happy to hear all your thoughts!
To start, THIS IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO CESIUM! It lacks many almost all of Cesium's features and is not a jailbreak.
Osmium is a project that was quickly vibe coded when a user on the post for my last project brought up OS 5.8.5. It acts as a shell to launch TI-84 Basic and Python programs similar to Cesium however other than that it can do almost nothing and can not launch assembly programs.
The project has the limitation of needing entries for every program you want it to be able to launch. To solve this it uses a web interface that lets you customize the program which then gets compiled in your web browser. If you are using a browser that supports WebUSB (Chrome, Edge, ect) (Firefox and Safari do not) you can plug in your calculator and send the programs; and Osmium directly to your calculator making updating easy.
The Production site is currently: https://osmium.red-gale7.workers.dev/
Repo: https://github.com/Redgale/Osmium
It can easily be redeployed to cloudflare pages/workers if anyone wants to
I made a repo for a project that uses a Raspberry Pi Pico to send games; and the Cesium installer + arTIfiCE to your calculator on the go. The project aims to allow you to quickly send your games and Cesium if needed back to your calculator after a test. Alternatively you could use it to install Cesium on many of your friends calculators aswell.
The design is very easy to make; and with proper tools you could build the entire thing without soldering. I’m planning to have the project support some better equipped boards in the future for more compact designs. If anyone would like to contribute that would be wonderful.
Here is the link to the repo: https://github.com/Redgale/TICAI-TI84-Cesium-Auto-Installer
Theres a diagram with the board pinout in the README but feel free to fork the repo and change the pi out however you like. I’m planning on making a GUI to help customize the code.
EDIT: I was signed in with the wrong Reddit account when posting this im u/Red_gale
For some reason, when I connect my TI-84 Plus CE to my PC, it says that it has a driver error. I am new to this type of stuff, so I'm in need of some help. Thank you.
I was able to install artifice and play minesweeper on my Ti-84 plus CE but when I tried to run a gameboy emulator called TIBOYCE it says it’s not authorized to? My version is 5.8.4. 0058. How do I fix this. I found a post from someone with the same problems and apparently the update stopped some programs from working. Does anyone know any other gameboy emulators for the calculato?
