I love my synapse 19 (I’ll use it until it dies) as a personal item but for carry on luggage I do like a roller bag. I wish TB made one, but they don’t :(
Given everyone here loves TB I figure y’all might have some good recommendations for brands/models for roller bags - if you do, please share!!
My ideal is a roller duffle, 4 wheels, 40L or so.
My absolute favorite travel bag. I have put many miles on this pack since early 2022!
It my meter bag. Holds jumpers, wire label book, notebook, wago connectors, an extra set of leads, and safety chopsticks.

I just got the Synik 26 in Agave and I love the color so much, I also got the Side Hustle in Agave. Been using the Side KICK for awhile now. They both work great as internal packs for all my work crap!

Since I've mentioned this multiple times in the comments where I can't actually post photos, here it is for all curious. Work done by https://kennwalkerdesigns.com. Makes this bag highly more useable as an everyday carry for me. The access to my phone when I don't need to worry about security is key.
I really wanted a crossbody strap on my Nomad 11. Ordered the hardware and nylon webbing online and took it to a local tailor. I’m super happy with how it turned out! Much more functional with the smaller version of the absolute shoulder strap from Op/Tech.
Has anyone solved this issue? I know I can likely get Tom Bihn to send me a new strap for my Copilot, but there's no guarantee that won't also squeak.
I’ve seen posts from a few years ago saying the Brain Bag can be cinched down enough to fit under a seat; any recent experiences of this, positively or negatively? I saw that they’re releasing another run of them in Ursa, and am considering picking one up as a bigger alternative to the Synik I already have.
I already own several Bihn bags but am not sure I’ve found my perfect fit yet. Started with the Medium Café bag but ended up disliking the vertical structure and buckle, then tried the Side Effect but found it too small for my daily carry items so gifted it to a friend. Currently am using the Big Bantam and while there are many aspects of it I like (the versatility of carry options, for example) I find that it’s still a tight or awkward fit at times and I end up rooting around for things that have sunk to the bottom.
For context, I carry the typical things a lot of people do (wallet, keys etc) but I also like to carry my Kobo (6”) and I have an inhaler I have to carry as well which can add bulk.
In researching, the Side Kick has been well reviewed and is consistently listed as a fan favorite. So, for those of you who have it, how do you like it and what has your experience been with using it?
TL;DR: Trying to decide if switching from the Big Bantam to the Side Kick would better meet my needs.
Edit: And to those of you with the whale pouches, how is it using those and do they make a big difference in how and what you carry?

I just got a Synapse 25, sapphire spectron. I really like it but the spectron material doesn’t hold its shape like ballistic.
Are there any recommendations for organizers or accessories to help fill the bottom of the main compartment to keep its shape?
For now I’m keeping a rain coat rolled in the bottom to reduce how much it sags.
Appreciate any suggestions you all have!
Any ideas on how to repair dirt or scuff marks on this bag? Any colors that would work better in the future?
Tom Bihn has dad vibes, so I wanted to get him a bag as a gift. He's going through chemo, so is kinda weak and can't carry much around, so I figured a backpack for the future or something lighter in Spectron is a better idea. I wanted to do the Pilot or Synik 26, but I just realized neither can fit a Macbook Pro 16 inch. The Bixi can... but that's big. Does anyone have better suggestions? Should I just scrap a laptop carrying bag altogether, adn get him something smaller like a sling?
