Rotation issue

Just purchased a used tonal. Does anyone know how to fix this issue or is it normal?

PLEASE PLEASE LET US TURN OFF THE COACH COMMENTARY

If the coach isn’t even lifting in the program (Modern Muscle) then there is absolutely no need to have a coach there.

I CANT LISTEN TO AKEEM SAY “OHHH MY LANTA” ONE MORE TIME. PLEASE PLEASE DEAR GOD LET ME TURN THIS STUPID COMMENTARY OFF. IT GIVES ZERO BENEFIT AT ALL.

Do tonal and strava no longer connect?

I noticed today that my last logged workout on Strava was June 30th and I have worked out a few times since. Do they no longer work together?

Collecting Badges

I like collecting badges on Tonal. It makes it fun. If you work out today, 4th of July, you get the Firecracker Fit badge. You still have time. Go for it!!🎉🎊

Looking for tips

I been a gym goer for the last 6 years, typical 4-5 days a week with chest/tri, back/biceps, shoulder/abs and legs. I left working out about 3-4 months ago before switching to tonal.

I tried the programs but not getting same results. Does anyone have tips who used to be a gym goer, what's the best way to get back in rhythm?

Optimal mat size for tonal?

Just pulled the trigger on a Tonal 2 and am excitedly setting up the space. Any advice on optimal mat size? I’ve currently set up foam gym tiles in a 8x8 square but it is a bit overbearing given the rest of the room. A 6x8 rectangle would fit my space much better. Do you think a 6x8 mat will work? Or will I regret not having mat on the ground in certain scenarios when I’m at the outermost edges of Tonal’s recommended workout space?

Edit: to clarify, if I go 6x8 I’ll ditch the tiles and replace with a continuous mat (e.g., Gorilla mat)

One million and 1000 before my 63rd year. Getting in shape to retire not retiring and getting in shape.

Thank you Tonal and Tonal community.

Where are my strong ladies 💪

Strength graph - First plateau was a hip surgery, quickly increased weights as I was recovering and finding my strength again, second plateau was as I worked on my form and rehabbed weaker muscle groups, then it started to rise as I moved from custom workouts > structured programs, and the most recent surge is all thanks to 12WTU

Yes, my strength scores are very uneven 😂
Obvious lower body bias post-surgery!

Real world strength

We lost a huge tree in one of the big storms yesterday in the Midwest. My husband chopped it into smaller pieces and I dragged them all into our yard from our neighbors yard and off our fence. I realized pretty quickly that the movements were very very very similar to a combination of deadlifts, suitcase marches and rotational lifts on tonal. (I was making sure I picked it up with my legs not my back, walking forward instead of in place while holding something heavy, stepping over other large branches/logs, and then for the lighter pieces, swinging it to the side on top of other branches). It required a lot of strength and endurance as well as a strong core. Today I'm a little sore but otherwise 100% ok, and I have to thank tonal (and myself!) for putting in the work.

60 years well lived!

How’s this for a timeline?! My misspent 20s, 40s, and now 60s — in 80 countries on 6 continents.

As a retired Combat Paratrooper, Battalion Commander Iraq/Afghanistan veteran, and O-6 Colonel, I have nothing to do in retirement but lift weights on Tonal between naps in the pool. LOL

Buying a used Tonal-good or bad idea?

New to the board. I’ve been wanting a tonal for years. Now I see them available used for anywhere between $1k and $2k.

Is buying a used Tonal a good idea? What can/could/will go wrong?

Assuming it is still installed, what should I look for?

If it is uninstalled, is there anything I can do to test it? Any diagnostics available to view once it is not installed on a wall?

TIA

2026 Progress

Though I'd share my 2026 progress so far. I've had Tonal scince 2022 and lifted over 7M lbs, but I've been inconsistent with both my training and diet. I locked-in to a cut this year and have had my best results at close to 44 years old. Training exclusively with Tonal and some limited Kettlebell / bodyweight stuff. Some light jogging here and there. Goal is to cut a little more and then go into a lean bulk.

Is this for me?

Wife is pregnant and we’ve been pretty frequent in the gym. I’ve been lifting for almost 20 years my wife is just getting into it and seeing the benefits of weightlifting. I know as we get further along in our pregnancy (still early) and post pregnancy gym time will be hard to come across. My question is is the tonal worth the purchase. I also have to add in in the military so we Weil be moving a lot over the next few years.

Need advice

Hi everyone. Excited to be in this community! I recently just purchased the Tonal 2 back in May and I just completed my first program. It was fresh sets one I’m not new to the gym or lifting weights, but I am on the GLP one and consistently losing weight. I am 5 foot 7, 195 pounds. My goal weight is 180. I’ve always been inconsistent with working out, but you know with the purchase of this. I’m really gonna make an effort. My diet is relatively good so I’m not really concerned with that but really just trying to find out which program would be best to to get really toned up and maybe help me help me with those last you know 15 pounds or so appreciate all the advice love seeing the success stories and I’m happy to be a part of this community!

How soon to advance? Need next program help..

I am a mid 50s Man new to Tonal and a lot of the motions. Just completed “starting line strength” a two week beginner program. FWIW my strength score is currently around 680.

Can anyone recommend a follow up program that they liked? I still very much feel like a beginner, but I wonder how long I’m supposed to be a beginner?

New purchase Tonal 2

I just finished the pre installation survey. Can I go ahead and download the app for me and my wife and do we make an account for the both of us? Or do we wait until the installers come? If I register the app now, is my email somehow already registered?
