I just imported a BadCat capture (amp and cab) from amalgam (ER30), and it sounds awful. It sounds muddy, and it was making some terrible feedback type of noise when I was first messing with it. The feedback sounds is gone, but the model still sounds muddy and terrible. It sounds worse than the stock presets, which is NOT supposed to be the case at all. Is it something to do with the cabs? Do I habe to turn off the previous cab, and use the matchless cab that came with the capture? Something is definitely off. Im listening through headphones, and haven't ran it through my frfr yet.

I'm a new user. I love it. I already swapped several patches from the free ones on the Tonex editor on my laptop. I don't have personal experience beyond that though I am aware of ToneNET and that there are commercial patches. Thanks.

So I hadn't used my Tonex software in quite sometime but was trying it out before setting a friend up with the free version and saw that it now has FX...and they are really good! They even come with the free version so buddy is very happy. The FX cover all the standard basics so I do wonder why there is not a distortion/overdrive effect? Sure, many of the amps have crunchy gain but it would be nice to use a clean amp and use a distortion/overdrive pedal.

Was just playing along to some music with my new tonex one + received today. It decided to deafen me with my headphones on with what can only be described as a massive frozen digital note at maximum volume. Had to unplug from power to stop it.

Is it good break up with the neck pickup or or mostly hard rock/metal with the treble pickup?

Can you get a slightly overdriven John Mayer or John Mayhal? Can I get a B. B. King or T-Bone Walker? Can I get a mellow Dicke Betts Jesica or is it just Whipping Post? A J. J. Cale or just a screeching Eric Clapton? Can I get a Hendrix Angel or just Purple Haze?

I'm not sure if this is the right sub as I couldn't find a general IK sub.

I just got hold of Mixbox and wanted to add the Sunset Sound Reverb collection to it but it appears this product is no longer available for purchase. I raised a case with IK support about it and they said nothing could be done. This is infuriating. Does anyone know how I can get hold of Sunset Sound for Mixbox.

Hi all! I messaged support but I wanted to reach out to the lovely folks here. Does the ALT button on the new tonex one plus feel very stiff? I had two Tonex's before and the ALT button always felt tactile. nice and easy to click. The new button has no tactile feel at all and I have to sort of press really hard to get it to respond to the push. And because there is no tactile feel I don't know if Iam pressing too hard or not.

If it should feel like the original Tonex I guess I'll have to get this exchanged.

Hey everyone! New to the community.

Got ToneX Max + Amplitube Max. Loving ALL of the options and things sound...good...but I feel can sound better. Would love help from the community.

My setup:

Guitar > Interface (Scarlett Solo 4th Gen) > Macbook Pro (brand new) > Studio Monitors (Yamaha HS5s). Playing at 64bits/44.1k.

I do not use this into a DAW or headphones right now. I play out of the studio monitors and prefer that for now.

Issues:

Thinks sound OK, but hi-gain amps feel really boomy/muddy. Some are also scratchy or "clipping" but no clipping is actually happening. It's not my guitars, not my studio monitors. Playing through NAM is amazing so I think it's something with my settings with gain or something with my interface for Amplitube + ToneX.

Anyone use Scarlett Solo 4 and had the same issues and fixed it? Would love any and all tips here to optimize the tones.

Hello all! I’ve recently got the tonex one, the sounds are amazing for recording and I’m having so much fun.

Live it just seems to fall apart and I’m not sure why. For reference, there doesn’t seem to be much headroom. I’m trying to use the same amp in A and B and use A for rhythm and B as a boost and while it seems to work at home it’s not cutting the mustard when it’s out with me.

I’m sure I must be missing some trick here? Could I have the volume too high on the actual device? I’ve tried the input trim too. Is it better to set the amp loud and raise the volume from zero on each channel? Am I complicating things here.

Any help welcome.

It's good to see that the improved noise gate will benefit not only the Tonex One+ but also the other legacy Tonex hw.

Now, let's see how it's improved.

I recently got a new audio interface bc I thought the the reason my tonex amp sim was generating so much amp noise (like not interference or buzzing but more of a hiss which changes tones if I change the amp model) was from the high noise floor from my shitty Behringer interface.

I run my signal through a pedal board into the audio interface into tonex and it has now started to sound like the amps are amplifying the noise from my pedal board - even tho I’m using a fender engine room power supply.

Is this to be expected with using these models or any amp sim models I general as it suck that the noise may be coming from my pedal board.

Does the ToneX ONE + make using an Airstep TX obsolete and you can now use something like a chocolate footswitch for changing patches when you had to get an Airstep TX to do the same thing before with the older ToneX One??

Are there benefits for the Airstep TX with the ToneX One +?
